In case of International Brands and Beauty products ample amount of shelf space is given to products and products are assorted in a manner to create an effective demand.
In case of daily use products the shelf space provided is Limited and the customers can Try the outfits in trial rooms. This serves a good Example of Product Assortment.
USE OF TECHNOLOGY
In order to live up to its legacy the mall uses latest technology with cutting edge features. The technology is used in security, billing, transportation, lighting and decoration. It involves installation of security cameras and metal detectors at the entrance for security purposes. All the products carry a magnetic chip in order to ensure theft detection through scanners. The mall has escalators on each floor for comfortable transportation of customers and goods. Billing in the mall uses SAPERP. The mall has live performances and DJ music in weekends.

The S.G.S Mall is well managed in order to provide customers with a pleasure shopping experience. There is a wide variety of products and the mall staff is well trained. The mall has underground parking. There is regular cleanliness and neatness in the mall. It ensures a pleasurable experience of shopping along with food and other interesting activities

AS AN ARCHITECTURE STUDENT AFTER ANALYSING THE S.G.S MALL,WE HAVE COME TO AN CONCLUSION THAT PUBLIC CIRCULATION AND ZONING IS A VERY EMINENT FACTOR TO CONSIDER WHILE PLANNING.CASUAL PLACES LIKE PLAZA,ATRIUMS,FOOD COURTS ETC PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN KEEPING THE MALL ALIVE. SPEAKING ABOUT THE S.G.S MALL,WE HAVE NOTICED THAT ITS DESIGNERS HAVE GONE WITH A SIMPLE AND SYMMETRICAL PLANNING.THE MALL HAS A HIGH ROOF HEIGHT WITH A COMFORTABLE CIRCULATING SPACE.SITUATED AT ONE OF THE BUSIEST AREAS OF THE CITY,IT HAS SMARTLY TAKEN THE ADVANTAGE OF THE FEASIBILITY.LESS PARKING FACILITY IS A DRAWBACK OF THE MALL.OTHERWISE THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR MALLS IN INDIA.
