MEDLIFE rep before booking Expect between $900-$1400 Duration: 7 Days (Sunday-Sunday) 4 days of clinics, 1 day of development project, 1 day of cultural tourism

What we do during a Mobile Clinic?


Bring basic medical care to low income communities

Clinics staffed with local dentists, doctors, gynecologists and nurses


Work alongside community members on development projects Run educational seminars

During the week...


One day on a community development project Four days of clinic, students rotate through two stations each day

Mobile Clinic Stations: Doctor


Assist our physicians, talk with patients, and learn about the root causes of disease

Mobile Clinic Stations: Dentist


Rotation begins with a lesson Students learn all they need to know to help effectively Help holding tools like lights, suction hose, and tongue depressors Transcribe odontogram as dentist examines teeth

Mobile Clinic Stations: Gynecology


Assist, watch and learn
Help prepare slides for pap smears Transcribe patient histories Female participants only

*Requires utmost respect and sensitivity for the patients and their cultural backgrounds and privacy

Mobile Clinic Stations: Pharmacy


Help organize, package and distribute medications Students with more Spanish knowledge can help explain to patients when and how to take their medications

Mobile Clinic Stations: Vitals


Students measure... - height - weight - blood pressure - temperature

Mobile Clinic Stations: Lab


Students assist in a administering tests if patients require glucose or urine tests

Mobile Clinic Stations: Toothbrushing Distribute toothbrushes


Teach kids to brush teeth, rinse and spit Give fluoride treatments

Mobile Clinic Stations: Education and Student help hand out pamphlets
