Based on preliminary assessment by the Ministry of Public Works, irrigation structures in Klaten, Bantul, Kulonprogo, Sleman districts, and Yogyakarta City have suffered extensive damage.
In Yogyakarta province, about 65% of the cropped area, or 23,000 ha, dependent on irrigation has been affected (loss estimated at Rp27 billion), and 82%, or 1180 ha, in Klaten (loss estimated at Rp1.4 billion). The technical annex for productive sectors presents further details.
