Process simulation in chemical engineering

Simulation: Art of process designing. Is slide ko arrange karke isi me group member ke naam daldo

Basic Idea
In engineering, it usually means to study the behaviour of a system by setting up a different system (the simulation) which can justifiably be expected to behave (at least in some ways) similarly and studying that instead; then transferring the results to the original system. simulation can be regarded as a numerical experiment, but it often requires advancements in theory simulations can provide information which is impossible or too expensive to measure, as well as insights which are not amenable or too complicated for analytical theory methods

Why the process simulation is done????

It is used for the chemical plants and chemical processes for design Development optimization of processes

Process optimization is the discipline of adjusting a process so as to optimize some specified set of parameters without violating some constraint. The most common goals are minimizing cost, maximizing throughput, and/or efficiency. This is one of the major quantitativetools in industrial decision making. When optimizing a process, the goal is to maximize one or more of the process specifications, while keeping all others within their constraints.

Aspen HYSYS Process Simulation

The integrated steady state and dynamic modeling capabilities, where the same model can be evaluated from either perspective with full sharing of process information, represent a significant advancement in engineering software. The various components that comprise HYSYS provide an extremely powerful approach to steady state process modeling.

Your good question

Process simulation is used for the design, development, analysis, and optimization of technical processes and is mainly applied tochemical plants and chemical processes, but also to power stations, and similar technical facilitiesModelling The development of models[2] for a better representation of real processes is the core of the further development of the simulation software. Model development is done on the chemical engineering side but also in control engineering and for the improvement of mathematical simulation techniques. Process simulation is therefore one of the few fields where scientists from chemistry, physics, computer science, mathematics, and several engineering fields work together.
