Que es ISO?

ISO es la Organizacin Internacional de Normalizacin. Cuenta con una membreca de alrededor de 162 organismos nacionales de normalizacin de los pases grandes y pequeos, industrializados, en desarrollo y en transicin, en todas las regiones del mundo. El portfolio de ISO contiene ms de 18,000 normas que proveen a los negocios, gobierno y la sociedad con herramientas prcticas para las tres dimensiones del desarrollo sostenible: econmico, medioambiental y social. What is the ISO 9001:2000?


It is a globally recognized Quality management System framework A common sense Quality Management System focussing on consistency, reliability and improving the way the business operates. A focus upon organizational processess, customers and continual improvements. Provides guidance and what it is required to achieve an internationally recognized Quality certification.

It is a Quality standard with requirements for organizations.

Introduction to the ISO 9001:2000

Implementing ISO 9001. There are a number of steps to be considered for the implementation:

Familiarity with the standard should be gained. Assemble an implementation team including the senior management and a time line and its action plan. Develop a Quality Manual (Policies manual) Develop documentation: procedures (6) and processes that support the Quality manual. Implement the QMS. This require comunication and training. The design of the system will cover aspects as economic, safe and

systemic.

Stablish a goal date for the certification and gain the acreditation.
