Description
Patrick Phillips visits The Context of White Supremacy. A past fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, Phillips teaches at Drew University in New York. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and numerous other outlets. We'll discuss his first work of nonfiction, Blood At The Root: A Racial Cleansing In America, which was published last month. Phillips explores the 1912 purge of black families from Forsyth County, Georgia. After allegations that black males had assaulted two different White Women, lynchings, maulings and unadulterated White terrorism roamed the Georgia foothills. Black land was confiscated and evidence of this coordinated pogram of was deliberately hidden. We'll inquire as to why Phillips chose to write about this subject and what these racial cleansings reveal about individuals classified as White. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE: 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p
