In his first week on the job, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro began an investigation into Catholic clergy sexual abuse. The report unmasked a huge cover-up, leading all the way to the Vatican, and identified 1,000 children who were victims, prompting a wave of activism in Pennsylvania and across the country.
On this episode, Alyssa talks with AG Shapiro about the investigation, which found that more than 300 Catholic priests across Pennsylvania sexually abused children over seven decades, We also hear from a survivor of Catholic clergy abuse, Shaun Dougherty, and learn what needs to happen in order for this to become an issue of the past.
