Should a non-traditional student’s CV include all the colleges attended or just the ones in which they received their degree/s? A CV includes every school you've gone to. Question #2. What recommendations can you make to help us nontrads decipher what should be included in our CV and what should not? (i.e. which previous jobs, extracurriculars, etc.) I personally think your CV should be customized for whatever you're applying for. Say, you're applying for a job within the automobile industry, try to put as much information about automobiles. Or if you have specific skills that you think are going to work well in that industry, then highlight those on your CV. Put experiences that are going to highlight those skills. Question #3. Do you have any example CV’s for non-traditional students to view? When it comes to applying to medical school, you don't need a CV. Some people tell you to create your own CV ready just so you can remember what you've done. Still, I think it's a waste of time since you're going to be formatting it and making sure it's pretty. Then you 'd have to limit what to put on it because you don't want it to be too long. Instead, think of writing a journal. Write as much as you want about a certain activity. You don't have to cram it into a specific format for a resume. [04:00] Final Thoughts "As you're going through this process, you don't need a CV. You don't need it. It's not important."
