SAP Business ByDesign


Creating General Ledger Accounts
General Ledger account is used for all those business activities which require Business Transaction operation. When you record a business transaction in a system, user does not enter any info for G/L accounts. The G/L accounts are determined automatically by means of account determination. User can categorize the G/L Accounts based on the G/L Account Type. There are predefined G/L Account types available which are not editable.

Assign G/L Accounts to Financial Reporting Structure and Account Determination Group
The Financial Reporting Structure is basically used to group the G/L accounts as per the needs for reporting purpose. User can specify the data that he wants to display by selecting the variables. Depending on your G/L accounts used in the chart of accounts, you can check and make any necessary changes to the preselected structures to be able to run reports and analyses.

Testing and Test Plan Accelerator


Test Plan Accelerator is primarily used to track the Test Activities. Accelerators are pre-designed and standardized tools and templates that help you to be more efficient in the SAP Business ByDesign implementation process. Accelerators ensure that delivery of the Go-Live Services is consistent and repeatable because they are standard and proven tools. All accelerators are pre-defined and available to download from SAP Business Center.

A2X Services and SOAP UI Implementation


Web services are the main interface for information exchange between two different applications. SOAP UI is used for establishment of the communication channel between two different applications like SAP ByDesign and application developed on different platform like .net, PHP, java etc. Specific WSDL URL/ Files are used for creating the Web Services. XML is basically used in the SOAP UI as a communication channel between different applications.

Data Migration
Data Migration activity can be done by two methods1. Manual Activity 2. Data Migration Template Manual Activity is basically done directly on the production system by user.

Data Migration through template is basically used to migrate data from Test System to Production System. All the data migration templates are pre-defined format and are available to download.

SAP - MS Outlook Integration


Microsoft Outlook Integration allows you to exchange information between Microsoft Outlook and the CRM application of your system. You can synchronize your contacts, e-mails, appointments, and tasks to and from Outlook, create service requests in the system from incoming e-mails, and associate e-mails, tasks and appointments with SAP Business ByDesign accounts, campaigns, opportunities, and leads. MS outlook Add-in is only supported by MS office 2007 and MS office 2010

Tracking of Go-Live Activities


Go-Live activities are tracked through different Accelerators like Data Migration, Key User Enablement, and Testing etc. These accelerators are updated based on the discussion with the customer.

Form Templates Using Adobe LiveCycle Designer


Form templates are used to define the content and layout of documents that can be printed from the system. There are two types of form templates1. Print Forms Print forms are read-only portable document format (PDF) documents that are generated from data stored in the system. Print forms can be printed, sent as an e-mail attachment, or faxed to business partners. 2. Interactive Forms Interactive Forms are interactive PDF files that can be generated from the system and sent as e-mail attachments to business partners. Business partners then enter data directly into the form and send it back. This data can then be uploaded into the system. These form templates can be customized as per the client requirement by placing customer logo and fields. Easy Form Editor and Adobe LiveCycle Editor Tools are mainly used for this task. User can create the custom forms in the tools and upload it to the Form Template Maintenance View.
