e-newsletter produced by a small group of Wyoming dog rescuers in an effort to highlight shelter dogs in critical need of help.

I like people of all ages, dogs, cats, and livestock. I like to fetch rubber toys, go for walks, and go swimming. I am a very good looking guy who is friendly. I think I would really like going for runs or jogs. Come meet me at the pound where I am waiting!
I am a gorgeous Chow Chow mix. I am also neutered. I am a very laid back dude, who is calm and quiet, and I like people and other dogs. I enjoy going for a walk and would love it if someone would brush me! Im waiting at the pound I hope a new family will come meet me and take me home!

e-WOOF spotlights many dogs that face euthanasia within days unless they are rescued, fostered, or adopted.
Transport can be arranged, in most cases, to approved adoptive or foster homes or rescue organizations. Please help us! These are good, healthy, happy, loving dogs that are out of luck and out of time. These sweet chocolate labs had been dumped in the county, by Clearmont. The woman who found them and cared for them for a couple of weeks before bringing them to us named them Dan and Little Ann. Each pup had glaucoma in one eye, a really painful condition. Dans other eye looks normal and responds to light but hes totally blind so were thinking he has a partially detached retina. It may develop glaucoma in the future. Little Ann could see a little from her good eye but had entropion on the lower eyelid. Our veterinarian removed the eyes with glaucoma and corrected Little Anns entropion, and the pups became much livelier and are now playing. Both have severely deformed shoulders and front legs from skeletal dysplasia, a recessive genetic condition which doesnt show until the pups are about four months old and which will probably shorten their lives. Dans skeletal dysplasia is much worse than Little Anns, to the point that he

is about 4 shorter at the wither than he is at the rump. Both are extremely nice dogs, very social, loving and trusting. They are very glad to be safe and cared for and have accepted all the handling and surgery with no complaints. They are much more people oriented than many dogs because of their condition. Dan depends on Little Ann (shes his seeing eye dog) so the two need to be adopted together. ____________

In most cases, time is limited for the dogs featured in our newsletters--with that in mind, we try to get the word out to as many contacts as we can using this publication. Work on behalf of the animals for finding them homes and/ or rescues comes from many, many sources and is an ONGOING effort dealt with a sense of urgency. In some cases there may be times when a sudden adoption and/or rescue comes through at the exact time our newsletter is issued. They are best buds, though you could not tell it by the way they carry on with each other. Buddy is an adult male terrier mix not yet neutered. He is a very sweet boy who loves to run around and check things out. He is a playful little fella who seems to get along with most dogs his size. He does come when called and walks well on a leash. RUSTY is an adult male Beagle mix not yet neutered. He gets along well with other dogs his size. He, like his pal Buddy, loves to run around and play. They have a ball with each other. He is a little timid at first but warms up to you pretty fast! SAYDEE is an adult female Terrier, not spayed. She is a very sweet girl who just wants someone to love. She gets along well with other dogs but would rather just investigate things on her own. She does well on a leash and seems to mind pretty well. She does like to sneak through the fence and go exploring though. FANGE. This little boy is a very sweet dog. I do not know how they fit a heart the size of Texas in a 3 pound dog! He is a senior Chihuahua, not yet fixed. The few teeth he has left will probably have to be removed, so a soft food diet is on the menu for him. He loves to be held and cuddled and will dance on his hind legs for your attention. He truly is a wonderful dog who would love to bring some of his joy into your life!

He is a gorgeous dog who has been waiting for his forever home for 2 years. He loves to play ball. He has been started in basic agility. He loves hikes. Razzle does not do well in small confined spaces. We hope this sweetheart will finally get his chance at a home.

ROPER is a 2.5 year old Australian Shepherd mix. He has

an easy to maintain coat and is a handsome guy. He is very affectionate, cuddly, and perhaps even needy with people he knows but is VERY leery of people he does not know, particularly men. His ideal home would be a confident, dog-experienced single female without children. We are committed to finding Roper the right home that understands and accepts his particular issues. Rider is a good hiking buddy and snuggler. He is housetrained, neutered, and current on vaccinations. ROPER

JEDI is a small (30 lbs) white miniature Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix. He is full of character and likes to play tug, play with toys, and attack your feet as you walk. He has eyes of two different colors, but unlike some people may imagine this does not affect his vision at all, just adds to his character. Jedi does NOT particularly like men, however, and will need to go to a home with no men or with a very understanding man. Jedi would do best in a home without children. Jedi is fine with cats and likes to play with them. He is good with most dogs. Jedi likes to play and hike, but is not hyper or overactive. Jedi is neutered and current on vaccinations. ____________

I am currently being fostered, but my foster parent has no plans to adopt me. She just wants to help out and train me. So far I have learned to stay in the yard, get along with small dogs, and am kennel trained. I used to have a problem sleeping through the night, but not anymore! I get along with big dogs as well and love to get as much attention as possible. SPARKY is a three year old neutered male purebred Rat Terrier who is also microchipped! He came to the AVHS from an abusive home and weve been working hard to get him to overcome his fears and be confident with us. He has been making amazing progress and even spent a long time in a foster home where he was taught the ways of a good dog. He has lived with other cats and dogs so he shouldnt have any problems with other pets but does tend to be a little leery of men (he was abused by a man in the past, so can you blame him?) Sparky is affectionate and silly, loyal and looking for someone to give him a chance. ____________

and looking for a forever home. She is a little over 1 year old, a Bull Terrier mix. Jessi is a great medium size. Fantastically affectionate and silly, she worms her way into the hearts of all who take the time to know her. Jessi is good with other dogs and kids and regularly attends doggie daycare. She still needs to mature out of her naughty puppy stage and requires crating when unsupervised. She needs a 6 foot fence, an active owner, and no kitties.

ERYN is a 4 year old tiny red Heeler and Pit Bull mix. She

has had a miserable life until now and is very shy as a result. She thrives in a home with other dogs and gets her confidence from her other canine companions. Eryn is housetrained and enjoys riding in the car. She is small enough she can easily be picked up. She needs a rescuedog experienced owner with a big heart and no kiddos please. Visiting kids would be ok.

This dog loves to retrieve and could be easily trained as someones hunting partner.. But he is also great in the house, playful with other dogs, and patient with children. He is powerful and energetic on his leash and needs an owner physically capable of handling him. No cats or small dogs for Pete.
