Siemens offers a wide range of solutions and services in Serbia, where its Industry, Energy and Healthcare Sectors occupy leading positions. In fiscal 2011, Siemens Serbia scored major successes in all three Sectors:

Industry Sector Siemens is a world leader in green technologies; its large drives plant in Subotica is the most significant domestic producer of the electrical machines and transducers used in the area of renewable energy sources. Every month, the 500 Siemens employees in the Subotica factory produce around 150 generators for wind turbines. Siemens goal is to produce more than 300 generators per month and expand its workforce to 650 employees by 2014. The Industry Automation and Drive Technologies Divisions (IA&DT) supplied automation and low-voltage equipment for several important industries. One of the most important breakthrough projects in

2011 was the PCS 7 for the Bor copper mining and smelting complex. The Oil & Gas Divisions success with the jetty modernization project for the Panevo oil refinery helped IA&DT win its largest Motor Control Center (MCC) project. Siemens intensively participated the construction of the new boiler room in the FIAT factory in Serbia where we delivered the most advanced technologies making it one of the most advanced factory boiler rooms in the country. Siemens Building Technologies Division strengthened its leading position in premium projects by equipping the Atlas Capital Center in Podgorica and the Raiffeisenbank headquarters in Serbia with integrated fire safety and security systems, together with building management systems to keep the buildings in green mode throughout the year. Siemens demonstrated its urban security expertise once again by winning the tender for city surveillance for the city of Bor. In the water business, the Industry Solutions Division signed a contract for the supply of sequencing batch reactor (SBR) waste water treatment technology for the municipality of Kovilj. In the mining business, Siemens won the strategically important project for automation of the coal grinding facility in the Kolubara mining basin. The Industry Solutions Division continued its strong cooperation on various projects for the improvement of district heating. Of particular importance here is the project to modernize the Mirijevo heating plant in Belgrade. Siemens was awarded the project to reconstruct one of the most strategically important streets in the center of Belgrade, the Boulevard of King Alexander. The agreement includes the traffic management system with Scala and Motion as well as the overhead contact line for trams. The Mobility Division won the contract for traffic management for the Dimitrovgrad ring road, which is a strategically important project for improving the Corridor X.

Energy Sector The largest and strategically most important projects for the Energy Sector were contracts signed with the NIS Gazprom Neft (Oil Industry of Serbia). Siemens strategy of increased focus on key clients in the Oil & Gas Division resulted in a significant contract with the Oil Industry of Serbia. Part of Oil Industry of Serbias strategy for modernizing the Panevo oil refinery included the modernization of the jetty facility for loading/unloading the barges carrying petroleum products, the truck loading/unloading facility modernization, the mild hydrocracking complex and hydrofinishing (MHC/DHT) project and the 220/6kV high-voltage (HV) substation

project. Both the Panevo oil refinery (RNP) jetty modernization and the truck modernization project will have a significant impact on improving the environment in the city of Panevo. The Energy Sector continued its strong cooperation with the Power Utility of Serbia (EPS), which resulted in two important projects modernization of the monitoring and control system at the Nikola Tesla B thermal power plant and modernization of the ripple control systems of the ten transformer substations in Serbia.

Healthcare Sector Siemens strengthened its leading position by supplying and installing the innovative Definition Flash computed tomography (CT) system at the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases in Sremska Kamenica, one of the most prestigious cardiovascular hospitals in Serbia. Additionally, in a tender organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Siemens Healthcare Sector was the successful bidder for supply and installation of 15 analog mammography units. These are Mammomat 1000 systems with auxiliary equipment. The 15 systems will be delivered to health centers throughout the Republic of Serbia and will enable the early detection of breast cancer and contribute to improving the healthcare of women.
