ORGANISATION Born as a modest corporate entity within serene Himalayan settings on 14th August, 1956 as Commission, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), has grown into a full-fledged horizontally integrated upstream petroleum company. The Corporation is now venturing out to new areas that is deep-water exploration and drilling, exploration in frontier basins, marginal field development, optimization of field development plan field recovery and other allied areas of service sector. Engagements in these areas will require bestin-class technology, business processes and practices of international standard. ONGC is looking towards companies/service providers established in the industry for Technology transfer and absorption, and technological collaboration and support. ONGC intends to achieve this objective through alliances and sustained relationship. Information technology and communication systems are being integrated and upgraded. A number of new projects project PROMISE (Professional Review of Major Infocom Systems & Equipments), project ICE (Information Consolidate for Efficiency), project IMPETUS (Implementation Maintenance & Procurement Efforts Through Upgraded System) are launched. All these projects are aimed at integrating InfoTech resources making quality information available to the management for proper business decisions. It is located in LAXMI NAGAR in DELHI.

PROBLEM DEFINITION Few of the reasons which led to formation of a department named PROJECT ICE (Information Consolidation for Efficiency) are: Multiple unconnected Systems in ONGC Need to have an integrated environment for efficiency

ICE is an organization wide ERP solution to cover all the business processes of ONGC and cover the employee related details of ONGC on SAP platform and also integrate them with ongoing projects. Ill be working on Trainee Management system which is being developed keeping in view the need to maintain and track the details of all trainees in order to keep trainees personal and official details.

METHODOLOGY As of now, the requirements of the proposed system are dynamic in nature. Any changes required are to be reflected in the original project keeping the original functionality intact. The Evolutionary prototype model thus facilitates our project development. Hence Evolutionary prototype model is being used to help us integrating the new changes upon the already build deliverable.
