THOUGHTS FROM BRAD On July 10th, our Mens Fraternity will eat pizza together at the church fellowship hall. Be sure to bring some money guys to cover the cost of the night. The church will provide the drinks. Since we watched our movie last time together, we will have a time of Bible study on this night to accompany our pizza. I hope to see you. We continue to search for a Childrens Director. We ask that you keep the Elders and me in your prayers as we seek to hire the best person for this position. We continue today with our ONE ANOTHER sermon series. Last week we dealt with the theme encourage one another and today we are tackling living in harmony with one another. Next week we shall study stop passing judgment on one another. Please join us and prayerfully consider how you can help the church strive to be a church knitted together in love. We are planning for our future at FACC. As we plan for our Outreach opportunities in this community, we hope to mobilize many of you to serve in some capacity to help us take Jesus to people. Scott and I are asking that you join us for an exciting evening coming up on July 11th. We will hold a potluck dinner at 6 PM for those who have a desire to help us reach out to the community for Christ. You are asked to bring a side dish and or dessert for this meal. We will supply chicken and drinks. During our time together, Scott will briefly share our vision for outreach and I believe you will see that there will be ideas shared that anyone can get involved in. Come learn how you can be a vital part of growing a great church for a great God. In His Service, Brad

BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

KEENAGERS TRIP: On Wednesday, July 18, we are traveling to Ada, Ohio to visit the Wilson Sporting Goods Company. This plant produces all the footballs used by the National Football League, as well as most colleges and high schools. We will be departing at 9:15 AM. Our plan is to have lunch at Ryans Steak House, in Marion around 11:15-11:30 AM and then journey on to Ada for our 1:30 pm appointment. The cost for admission and transportation is $10 per person. (Lunch, at Ryans, will be on your own at $5.99, plus beverage). A sign-up sheet is posted. We still have 8 vacancies and will take stand-bys. I would appreciate receiving your payments as soon as possible. WEDNESDAYS: As we normally do, we are taking a break during the months of July and August. Our study groups will resume in September. Do keep an eye out for some special Wednesday activities during these two months. SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY: Our series of lessons, Pondering The Proverbs continues on 7/1 with Responsible Response based on Proverbs 15:1, 28. On Sunday evening, July 8, Patrick Hinson, another of our Bible college studies, will be our guest speaker. On July 15, we return to Proverbs with Handling Criticism, based on Proverbs 13:18 & 15:31-32. Why not be a part of these 6:00 PM worship services. Each week we enjoy a brief song service and communion for those who desire. VAN FUND: Once again, I want to remind you that this is not, exclusively, a senior concern, but I know that many of my senior friends are interested. As of June 4, the balance in this fund stood at $22,229.30. FINAL THOUGHT: I want to invite your prayers in behalf of your Elders as they seek to fill our need for a part-time director of childrens ministry.

SCOTTS THOUGHTS Many of you may be wondering about the PowerPoint slide that looks like a thermometer. We are raising funds to replace our current projector with a model that will be brighter, clearer and easier to maintain. This will enable us to show video without shutting off lights and minimize distractions during our services. The goal is to raise $10,000. We are currently about halfway to reaching this amount and would encourage you to contribute to this effort. If you are able to help we ask that you mark any additional amount beyond your tithe on your offering envelope to be used for the projector. Coming up on Wednesday, the 11th of July we will be having a pot luck dinner and discussion of some upcoming outreach opportunities. This should be a fun discussion of some simple ways that everyone can participate in making a greater impact in our community. In Him, Scott

Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance

Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry

After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on ________________________________________ all issues. We believe that Gods Word is _____ clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member.

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

OUR PURPOSE WE EXIST TO
