When it comes to providing sound for one of Block 9s venues NYC DOWNLOW, Gideon Berger knew he could rely on Noise Control Audio to deliver for this years LOVEBOX festival. Boasting a stellar line up including; Benji B, Dixon, Horsemeat Disco and Optimo, Noise Control Audio provided Block 9 with 6 stacks of Noise Control Audio I-fly; comprised of two stacks either side of the stage with a delay stack at the rear consisting of 6 TMT Hi-mid enclosures, 6 RGW Bass enclosures and 8 VSB 218 subs, with the full system being run by Noise Control Audio FF amplifiers and processed by Noise Control Audio FF206 processors. This arrangement cleverly created a perfect stereo sound throughout the whole venue. Headliner, BBC Radio 1 DJ Benji B stated how the Noise Control Audio speakers felt powerful but never harsh its not like other systems.

As a result it was no surprise to hear Benji B say that he was also delighted to walk into the tent and find [his] favourite speakers in store. Noise Control Audio also used 2 SM15 full range monitors and 2 ASYM3Ps for DJ monitors showing that the sound quality wasnt just saved for the audience, but also the artists benefit too. A belief reflected by Benji B himself, who chooses to use Noise Control Audios speakers for his own club night, Deviation, courtesy of one of Noise Control Audios top stockists, D.I.Audio.

Alongside the DJ Booth, The Tranny Area, an open aired performance area built into the chaotic front of Block 9s Hotel, also boasted two powered ASYM3s. In addition to this and in order to ensure the best possible sound quality, the sound and monitor engineering was also carried out by the Noise Control Audio team. One of the regular performers for Block 9 enthused, when I see Noise Control Audio here, I know Ive got nothing to worry about. Keen to keep up a good working relationship, Block 9 will be joining once again with Noise Control Audio for their Tree of Light tour; a ten thousand audience spectacular touring the UK in July with Noise Control Audio providing all sixteen stacks of I-FLY and twenty four monitors to support a thousand-strong cast as part of the Olympic Torch Relay events.

Finally as the sun set on the final evening of LOVEBOX, it was clear that the clean, powerful sound Noise Control Audio creates is appreciated by audience and artist alike, with one festival-goer stating; It just sounds so good in here! After wandering around the whole festival we came straight back here, you just feel the bass in your bones. Amazing
