The Last Moments of life

And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. (Surah Qaf, 19)

Have you ever thought about how you will die, what death looks like and what will happen at the moment of death? Allah informs us in the Quran about how death actually occurs. Thus, the Qur an is the only source from which we can learn about how death really occurs and what someone who dies actually experiences and feels. Certain verses acquaint us with events as seen by the dying person himself, which can never be perceived by others.

Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat, And you are at that time nearer looking on -And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see. al-Waqia, 83(Surah al-Waqia, 83-85)
The angel of Death sits at the head of the dying person and informs the believer of Allah , forgiveness and pleasure, and informs the Kafir of Allahs wrath and anger.

angels The ones whom the angels take in death, [being] good and pure; [the angels] will say, Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do
An(Surah An-Nahl, 32) Allah hesitates to take the soul of his faithful servant. The Prophet said : "Allah said, 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My protection (Refuge), I will protect him; (i.e. give him My Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the Believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him."

[Bukhari]

The last moments of a persons life are very important, to make a last attempt to misguide the children of Adam, his Sword Enemy, Shaytan, is also present at the Deathbed. This is his last moment to ruin a persons whole life of worship, and make him guilty of going to Hellfire. The Waswasas of Shaytan can be of great effect during the last breaths of a man. AlSheikh Anwar Al-Awlaki says :

Shaytan gives special attention to the last moments of your life, so put a criteria to yourself and think about it, If you are loosing to Shaytan now, when the Battle is Easy (i.e. between you and Shaytan), what would happen to you in the last moments when it gets tough ? If you are already loosing the battle now when Shaytan is giving you half of his attention, what will happen when he will give you his complete attention ? When he devotes his efforts for you? These are the Fitan of Death, and thats why we say in our salah : We seek refuge in you from the fitnah of life and death. The important stage in your life is your ending, Whoever dies on something will be resurrected on it. If you die as a shaheed in the battle, Prophet Muhammad says that on the Day of Judgement you would come out of your graves with your injury bleeding, just like it was bleeding when you died in the battlefield. When you die on something, you will be resurrected on that same thing that you thing were doing
The Hereafter, lecture Series, Lecture # 2 : Death Cont. By Sheikh Anwar Al-Awlaki

Just look at yourself, you cant stop listening to music, and say that Allah will grant me Paradise! Really, If you cant wake up for Fajr salah then dont say of Revolutionizing the world!!!!

Allah. Allah. If you ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah. How then are they deluded away (from the truth)? Az(Surah Az-Zukhruf, 87)

In our daily life, we only promise our Black hearts that we will change ourselves from so and so Day onwards but the result is quite the opposite !

A Bedouin made a very interesting dua : Oh Allah make the best of my deeds my last deeds.. Allah deeds.. .. Oh Allah, make the best of my life my last moments Allah, moments ..And ..And make the best day of my life the day I meet you.
The Day we will meet Allah (i.e. the Day of Judgement), must be our best day,

The day of Judgement is 50,000 years long, when comparing this life and the Day of Judgement our life is like a Drop in the sea !!

60 years : 50 000 years

Wake up oh Muslims, Wake up.. !!!! The Shaytan is most eager to be present at a persons deathbed, so that the end of a persons life may be accompanied by sin and rebellion (i.e. towards Allah) just as he is ever eager to the present in all of a persons deeds. Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle as saying: The Shaytan is present with

any one of you in everything he does; he is present even when he eats food; so if any one of you drops a mouthful he should remove away anything filthy on it and eat it and not leave for the devil; and when he finishes (food) he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in what portion of his food the blessing lies. The reasons of Evil Endings The Reason of Evil Endings is Corruption and Defect in the Belief, e.g. Lets Assume you bought a computer, and you started working on that computer for the first month, its working fine, the second month its working fine. And then you put it through a vigorous application, as a result the computer failed and broke down. You take to see what the problem is, and you find that there was a defect from day one. But this defect did not show up from Day one because you were treating it gently. You were using the computer for easy and simple applications, but when you put it through a serious application, a serious program, it broke down. Why ? Because there was a hidden defect, and this defect didnt show up on day one, it didnt show up on day two, it worked for two months, but when the things

became tough, it broke down. You assumed that the computer is brand-new but there was something hidden in it, this hidden thing eventually caused the break down. Now you could be living now, thinking that your Iman (Faith) is perfect, and your aqeedah is fine. But you have some doubts about Quran, doubts about the Anbiya , doubts about the laws of Allah, you have some doubts about islam hidden in a corner of your heart, and then Death approaches and Shaytan puts you through the tests , the things become difficult on you on those last moments , and that hidden defect shows up, when you find that there is a corruption in your belief from Day one , you could give up your whole Belief, and you will loose all your good deeds ,and end up going to Hellfire. As Muslims we should always check our mind and research on the things in which we have some doubts. To erase these doubts the best way is to study islam and consult an Alim to get a clear view of the problem. At the moment of death, what the dying person goes through and what those nearby observe are dissimilar experiences. For instance, a person who spent his entire life as an unyielding disbeliever may be perceived to experience a peaceful death from outside. However, the soul, in a totally different dimension now, tastes death in a very painful way. Alternatively, the soul of a believer, despite seemingly suffering great pain, leaves his body in a virtuous state. In brief, the medical death of the body and the death of the soul, which is referred to in the Quran, are totally different events.

"Whoever guides anyone to goodness, his reward shall be the same as those who follow his guidance without lessening a bit of their reward. And whoever guides anyone astray; his sin shall be the same as the sin of the person who follows him without lessening a single bit of their sin." [Muslim]
