CAMP POLLIWOG & POLLIWOG CREATIVE ARTS CAMP (PCAC) 3 1/2 TO 6 1/2 YEARS Located at the West Suburban YMCA, Camp Polliwog is the perfect introduction to camp for children ages 3 1/2 to 6 1/2! Camp Polliwog includes: Polliwog I for the younger campers (ages 31/2 to 5) Polliwog II for the older campers (ages 5 to 61/2) Creative Arts Camp for campers 31/2 to 61/2 with flexible one-week sessions A typical day at Camp Polliwog includes morning meeting, swimming lessons, outdoor play, and theme-based arts & crafts activities. Each session, Camp Polliwog hosts a family night, pot-luck style. Campers get the chance to show off their works of art, introduce you to their favorite counselors and also show you first-hand what a typical day is like at camp. How is PCAC different from Polliwog I and II? PCAC campers experience many of the same daily activities as our Polliwog campers: morning meeting, outside play, and free play. But their specials are always focused on a creative art project. We have glitter and were not afraid to use it! During this time, PCAC campers create, design, learn camp songs, put on skits, puppet shows ... the list goes on and on. With a young childs imagination, the possibilities are endless. Some projects are left to put on display for our family nights and some projects are the kind you can put on the fridge at home. PCAC does not include swimming lessons as part of camp. Children will get the opportunity to free swim with their counselors during the week.
