Phonics This week we will continue working in our first sound and sight word books. And will be practicing the order of the alphabet with songs and games. Notes / parent follow up: Talk to your child about things in their school bag, encourage them to name the objects using a short sentence, it is a pen, it is a pencil, it is a bag and talk to them about what you do with that item, e.g. cut, draw, colour, read, write etc Continue to ask your child how they are feeling and encourage them to respond with a sentence using the feeling vocabulary we have been practicing, I am happy/sad/angry/hot/cold/hungry/sleepy Talk you your child about different occupations (a doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a student, a fireman, a policeman, a cook, a pilot, a student).
