Jan 2012: Hampstead and Highgate Express, London Work Experience Broke a local siege story by using advanced twitter search expressions. Live twitted the story as it developed throughout the day and had it published on the front page with a co-byline. Pitched, researched and reported various other stories for both the Ham and High, as well as sister paper St Johns Wood and Maida Vale Express. Assisted staff reporters at various events including a council press conference, an academy inauguration and Westminster Coroners Court, supporting them with interviewing and note-tacking. Dec 2011: Southwark News, London Work Experience Obtained and conducted an exclusive interview with the director of an internationally awarded film that was due to be released at Southbank mid December. The story was splashed on the cover of the Lambeth Weekender and the Southwark Weekender the sister magazines of the newspaper. Followed press releases, reported on various local events and conducted vox-pops. Sep 2011 Feb 2012: Helpmeinvestigate.com Freelance Contributor Conducted various investigations and research for several networks of the website.

Sep 2011Jun 2012: MA Interactive Journalism School of Arts, City University London Awarded the Arts and Humanities Research Council Bursary for exceptional academic results. Course runs alongside the MA Newspaper Journalism degree with modules including Journalism Practice, Online Journalism, Data Journalism, Media Law and Social Media. Course work includes reporting on a given patch, feature writing and court reporting, as well as contributions to various websites among which: interhacktives.com, datajournalismblog.com and undergroundbuskers.wordpress.com. Sep 2008Jun 2011: BA (Hons) Journalism and Media, First Class School of Art and Design, Coventry University Annually awarded the Opportunity Scholarship for high academic achievements. 16,000 word dissertation on how femininity is portrayed in the American, British, French and Romanian editions of Marie Claire magazine. Modules included: Public Affairs, Law and Ethics for journalists; Analyzing Media and Communication; Journalism and Society; Journalism Projects. Course projects included the production of a TV magazine show and a 24-page newspaper. Member of the Students Union TV Society and volunteer with Marie Curie Cancer Care. Lead the implementation of the first Youth Parliament in Bucharest among other projects.
