After the cruel blow inflicted by the Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) on the cities of Cagayan de Oro , Iligan and Dumaguete, putting many thousands of people on the verge of survival and aggravated a whole range of social problems, while it is true that it will take time for the people to totally pull through, the bright side is it has left behind a real appreciation of the meaning of collective efforts from different organizations sharing the same advocacy to extend services and accelerate recovery. In the recent months following Sendong, this very same spirit of unity burgeoned among different nongovernment, mostly professional health organizations, when ORNAPNMC was tapped by them to give a hand and pool-in resources together for a more organized and extensive medical-surgical services to the financially disadvantaged sectors in the neighboring communities. Last March 31, 2012, Lapasan National High School Faculty and Staff Cooperative linked with us in their annual Operation Tuli and Minor Surgical Mission held in their school, catering to over a hundred indigent

children in the area. Last April 15, 2012, Misamis Oriental Medical Society(MOMS) - in cooperation with Philippine College of Surgeons(PCS-NMC), Order of the Eastern Star, Philippine Nurses Association (PNA-X), Misamis Oriental Physicians & Nurses Incorporated(MOPHNI), Philippine National Red Cross(PNRC-X), Rescue 411 and ORNAP-NMC - launched a huge medical-surgical mission at Amphitheatre, Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City serving around 500 Sendong affected families. Last April 28, 2012, for the first time, the Philippine Society of Anesthesiologists - NMC represented by their Vice President and Outreach Chair Dr.Melvin Talaver and immediate past president Dr. Ferdinand Miranda formed a bond with us, along with the Rescue 411, Rotary Club and Diamond Alliance and successfully held an Operation Tuli Surgical Mission to over 200 children of Sendong affected families relocated at Barangay Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City. On the 5th of May, the & Gynecology Department of Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC)

invited us to join their medical-surgical mission held at Bukidnon Provincial Hospital - Manolo Fortich, where the renowned consultants extended their free services in performing wide range of operations from Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL) to Total Abdominal
Hysterectomy and Bilateral SalpingoOophorectomy (TAHBSO), as well as Pap

Smear and other diagnostic procedures. Another invitation was extended to us by the Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (POGS) to assist them in their nationwide simultaneous surgical missions, where the local chapter chose German Doctors Hospital to be their venue this 27th to 29th of June, 2012. The awareness of ORNAPNMCs existence and its advocacy to do charity services has become increasingly acute recently, prompting many organizations to partner with us. Indeed in a society where challenges are great and resources are limited, of great importance is forming linkages with other organizations who share the same advocacy doing social works to lessen the impact of poverty.
