INDICATION For the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, skin infections, gonorrhea, and urinary tract infections. Cefuroxime is active against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is resistant to betalactamases
CONTRAINDICATION If the drug was tolerated it can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, or migraines, dizziness and abdominal pain. Is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.
NURSING MANAGEMENT Should the check the patients name, the correct route, dosage, and frequency of the medicine that should be given. contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to cephalosporins use with caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to penicillins

To treat high potassium levels in patients with kidney failure.
CONTRAINDICATI ON Hypersensitivity to adrenergic amines Hypersensitivity to fluorocarbons Use with caution in patients with CV disorders (including coronary insufficiency and hypertension), Hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, and those who are unusually responsive to adrenergics.
ACTION Relaxes bronchial, uterine, and vascular smooth muscle by stimulating beta2 receptors.
NURSING MANAGEMENT Assess lung sounds, PR and BP before drug administration and during peak of medication. Observe for paradoxical spasm and withhold medication and notify physician if condition occurs. If administering medication through inhalation, allow at least 1 minute between inhalation of aerosol medication. Advise the patient to rinse mouth with water after each inhalation to minimize dry mouth. Inform the patient that Albuterol may cause an unusual or bad taste.

NURSING MANAGEMENT Assess pain (note type, location, and intensity) prior to and 1-2 hr following administration. Ketorolac therapy should always be given initially by the IM or IV route. Caution patient to avoid concurrent use of alcohol, aspirin, NSAIDs, acetaminophen, or other OTC medications without consulting health care professional. Advise patient to consult if rash, itching, visual disturbances, tinnitus, weight gain, edema, black stools, persistent headche, or
influenza-like syndromes (chills,fever,muscles aches, pain) occur. Effectiveness of therapy can be demonstrated by decrease in severity of pain. Patients who do not respond to one NSAIDs may respond to another.
