After seeing the example in your text book, answer the individual test below!

1. To produce the product A, duration of 6 hours is needed in machine I and 4
hours is needed in machine II, while to produce product B, a duration of 2 hours
in machine I and 8 hours in machine II are needed. Both machines are working
not more than 18 hours everyday. By assuming product A to x and product B to
y, determine the constraint of this problem!
Answer:
Based on the information, we get that the constrain is
1) To produce the product A, duration of 6 hours is needed in machine I
2) To produce the product A, duration of 4 hours is needed in machine II
3) To produce the product B, duration of 2 hours is needed in machine I
4) To produce the product B, duration of 8 hours is needed in machine II
5) Both machines are working not more than 18 hours everyday
If we let x = duration to produce product A and y = duration to produce product
B, its obtained the following relationship:

Because x and y respectively shows the number of product, so x and y must be a
whole number. So, the constraint (in mathematics symbol) of the problem is

2. Ticket price in a show building is differentiated into two age groups, namely
children and adult which respectively totaling Rp2,500.00 and Rp5,000.00. If
the tickets are sold out, the collected money are entirely not more than
Rp125,000.00, while the capacity of building is maximum 1,000 people. If x and
y respectively declares of total children and adult visited the show in that
building, determine the mathematical model of the problem!

Based on the information, we get that the constrain is
1) Ticket price in a show building for children totaling Rp2,500.00
2) Ticket price in a show building for adult totaling Rp5,000.00
3) If the tickets are sold out, the collected money are entirely not more than
Rp125,000.00
4) the capacity of building is maximum 1,000 people
5) x and y respectively declares of total children and adult visited the show in
that building
The information in this problem can be summarized in the following table
Children (x) Adult (y) Stock
Ticket price Rp2,500.00 Rp5,000.00 Rp125,000.00
Where the capacity of the building is maximum 1,000 people.
According to the table, mathematic model of this problem is:

Where the values x and y are whole number.
Inequality (1) through (4) is the constraints

3. A statue maker want to make some Dewi Sris statues and Ganeshas statues. A
Dewi Sris statue needed 2 g gold and 2 g silver. While to make a Ganeshas
statue he needed 3 gold and 1 g silver. The stock of gold and silver is just 12 g
and 8 g. Price of a Dewi Sris statue Rp500,000.00 and a Ganeshas statue
Rp400,000.00. Determine:
a. the objective function of this problem, and
b. the constraint of this problem.

ANSWER OF THE EXERCISES IN TE WORKSHEET
NO ANSWER
1 Based on the information, its obtained the following relationship
6 + 2 18 S + 9
4 + 8 18 2 + 4 9
Because x and y respectively shows the number of product, so x and y must be
a whole number. So, the constraint of the problem is
_
S + 9
2 + 4 9
u, u
,

2 The information in this problem can be summarized in the following table
Children (x) Adult (y) Stock
Ticket price Rp2,500.00 Rp5,000.00 Rp125,000.00
Where the capacity of the building is maximum 1,000 people.
According to the table, mathematic model of this problem is:
2,Suu + S,uuu 12S,uuu (1)
+ 1,uuu (2)
u and u (S)
Where the values x and y are whole number.
Inequality (1) through (4) is the constraints

3 The target of this problem is to produce such two kinds of statue in maximum
profit
a. suppose the Dewi Sris statue is x and Ganeshas statue is y. Because
the problem is how to make the maximum profit of both type of
statue (to maximize), where the profit of each Dewi Sris statue and
Ganeshas statue respectively are Rp500,000.00 and Rp400,000.00.
So, the objective function is z then = Suu.uuu + 4uu.uuu.

2 + Su
2 + S Su
u, u

4 The target of this problem is to cost is as minimum as possible
a. suppose one fertilizer quantity with brand I is x and one fertilizer
quantity with brand II is y. Because the problem is how to cost as
minimum as possible (to minimize), where the cost of each brand I
and brand II respectively are Rp75,000.00 and Rp60,000.00. So, the
objective function is z then = 7S.uuu + 6u.uuu.
b. the information in this problem can be summarized in the following
table
Brand I Brand II Stock
Potassium
carbonate

Nitrate x 5y 20
Phosphate x 2y 24
According to the table, mathematic model of this problem is:
