Integrated Energy Services (IES)

IES has been created to help deliver the next stage of Petrofacs strategic development. Through this division they harness existing service capabilities and deliver them on an integrated basis to resource holders with the aim of supporting the development of their oil & gas resources, enhancing production from their mature reservoirs and helping them to build national capability. IES enables Petrofacs existing capability, from engineering and construction through to sub-surface management, to be harnessed and packaged for customers on an integrated basis, enabling the capture of more value from the delivery of services. IES creates a single business development approach for Developments, Production Solutions and Training Services in order to maximise opportunities and optimise resource deployment. IES enables Petrofac to generate long-term sustainable service income from the integrated offer. Although Developments and Production Solutions are more capital intensive than other parts of the group and have a history of making investments, Petrofac consider capital deployment as just one part of the service toolkit. IES underpins the service delivery to resource holders with the provision of technical skills training programmes and competency development and assurance frameworks through the Training Services business unit. Petrofac have made good progress with their IES strategy since its formation in Q3 2011, including the award of two Production Enhancement Contracts in Mexico (where they anticipate taking responsibility for field operations during 2012) and have reached an agreement to upgrade and deploy the FPF1 floating production facility on the Greater Stella Area and to take a 20% interest in the Stella and Harrier, Hurricane and Helios fields. On the Berantai project for PETRONAS in Malaysia, the jacket and topsides have been installed for the first wellhead platform and the drilling programme has commenced on schedule. The FPSO Berantai is expected to sailaway to location around the end of the first quarter of 2012. In Block PM304, offshore Peninsular Malaysia, the gas lift facilities on the Cendor field are expected to commence operation around the end of this year and Petrofac expect the Field Development Programme for the West Desaru fault block to be approved in early 2012. Year to date production at the Chergui gas plant in Tunisia is ahead of target following strong production levels during the second half of 2011. On the Ticieni Production Enhancement Contract in Romania, Petrofac are drilling the second water injection well as part of the water flood pilot and overall production is in line with expectations. In Nigeria, Petrofac continue to make good progress in their strategic relationship with Seven Energy.
