CELEBRATING 1 YEAR OF MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE,

ONE SONG AT A TIME!

JANUARY 8TH SONGWRITERS NIGHT - 6PM

3RD AND LINDSLEY
818 3rd Avenue South
Nashville, Tennessee 37210
(615) 259-9891

General Information:
www.livinthemusic.org Livin’ the Music is a non-profit organization (501c3 pending) that was founded on the idea that
music can, and will, change the world ~ the purpose of Livin’ the Music is to use music to bring
light, love & hope to those in need. On January 8th, we will be hosting a songwriters night at 3rd and Lindsley to benefit
Soles4Souls, a shoe charity dedicated to helping those in need. They collect gently worn shoes to donate them to those
in need. The donation of shoes gives someone the hope for a better tomorrow. Livin’ the Music wants to do whatever
possible to help Soles4Souls achieve their goals in the Nashville community.

Over the past year, Livin’ the Music has produced events for the Lili Claire Foundation (helping special needs kids) in
Nashville and Los Angeles, for The Los Angeles Inner-city Lacrosse Association (teaching inner-city kids Lacrosse) in
Los Angeles, for The Voice of the Wetlands (coastal conservation in Louisiana) in Baton Rouge, LA, and for CAN-DO
(providing disaster relief world-wide, hurricane relief in Louisiana) in Baton Rouge. These events have been very
successful in helping these organizations in their individual missions.

On Thursday, January 8th, Livin’ the Music will celebrate 1 year of making the world a better place, one song at a time.
To help us celebrate, Soles4Souls is going to launch their "Takin' it to the Streets" campaign. On the 8th, we, along with
all of the artists performing at the show on the 8th, will be visiting several places in the Nashville area to deliver shoes to
those in need. We will be visiting Lighthouse Mission Ministries, the YWCA and The Pencil Foundation. We are really
excited to be a part of "Takin' It To The Streets!" This event means a lot to us and we want it to be a huge success. We
feel that these are the kinds of things that help us in our mission to make the world a better place one song at a time!
January is the heart of winter here. I know that a pair of shoes may not seem like that much, but when you don't have
them...it is. Livin' the Music is joining together with Soles4Souls on January 8th to "Take It To The Streets" in Nashville.

At 6PM we will end our "shoe drive" at 3rd and Lindsley where Livin' the Music will host our 1 year anniversary event,
benefitting Soles4Souls. At the door, we will be collecting “gently worn” shoes for Soles4Souls.

We have a growing network of gifted songwriters whose music has a positive message - who believe music can, and
will, change the world. It is incredibly inspiring to find people from all walks of life, across all genres of music, with the
same message of optimism. Livin’ the Music is excited and honored to bring this energy and awareness to 3rd and
Lindsley in Nashville. Music is the vehicle for the message.

Artist Information (as of December 28, 2008):
KENDALL MORGAN - www.myspace.com/kendallmorganmusic
Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Kendall Morgan’s raw, unabashed songwriting has been
inspired by the musical talent that flows through her hometown. Morgan pulls her influences
from many different directions, from Leonard Cohen to Conor Oberst. The substance that Morgan
captures in her writing is infused with her empathetic, distinctive tone that will wrap
itself around your ear and soul.

DENITIA ODIGIE - www.myspace.com/denitiaodigie

An inventive songwriter and incredibly gifted vocalist, Denitia channels her songwriting from her
love of wide-ranging musical styles into a fresh and highly individual sound, and her voice is equal
parts power and nuance, passion and control. It is no wonder that she is impressing a growing
contingent of critics and fans. She was called "the find of the Fest" at the POP Montreal Festival,
and she inspired one critic to say, "If you bemoan the lack of passion in singers today, you must
see and hear this woman sing." "In my formative years," the 24-year-old says, "I was learning the
words to George Strait and Reba McEntire tunes and rocking out to all the nouveau grunge that
was on the radio in the mid-90s. Now I live in Nashville, where this Americana/roots rock/alt-
country thing is just in the air." The combination emerges in arresting lyrics and scintillating melodies that bring
together otherwise disparate listeners.

CLARA OMAN - www.myspace.com/claraoman

Clara Oman grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the Rocky Mountains. 5 years ago she moved to
Nashville, Tennessee, and with her outstanding talents completed her debut album ‘From Now
On'. The album was released in the UK and Eire on 29th October 2007, along with her debut
single ‘Forgetful Me'. "Clara Oman is one of the most gifted all-round singer/songwriters and
producers I have met. To have this much talent at such a young age is mind-blowing. I have been
in the business myself for over 20 years as a singer/songwriter and producer, and when I first
heard Clara's demos, I was amazed to discover that she not only wrote the songs herself, but also
arranged, recorded and produced them all in her tiny apartment in Nashville!" - Billy Dean,
Grammy Award Winning Country Music Artist

TIFFANY JOHNSON - www.tiffanyjohnsonlive.com

Tiffany Johnson is a phenomenal singer who has dedicated her talents to engage people
with the mission of her favorite charity: Soles4Souls. Born and raised in Paxville, South
Carolina, Tiffany made her way to Nashville, where she landed a music contract from a
prominent Christian record label. She has performed on tours with artists such as Bob
Carlisle ("Butterfly Kisses"), Ashley Cleveland, Russ Lee and Newsong. Today, Tiffany
performs regularly in the vibrant Nashville music scene. She has been recording in the
studio for Nashville Songwriters and appears regularly in various clubs and other venues.
She is also active in her home church, Bellevue Community Church, in South Nashville.

JARYD LANE - www.jarydlane.com

When asked, Jaryd Lane will tell you - without hesitation - what he enjoys most about music, "It's
all about the songs for me. Great songs with great stories." All of the tracks, penned in Nashville
for his new CD "RIDING FOR THE BRAND", prove that. This Louisiana native has been inspired
by artists ranging from James Taylor to Merle Haggard. Whether he's playing solo or with a full
band behind him, Jaryd's raw and soulful voice is winning audiences all over the southwest. In a
style that varies from Skynyrd grit to acoustic country and blues, Jaryd touches hard working fun
loving people with songs about love, sin, God, and family - with lyrics that speak to everyday
people about everyday life. The opportunity to open for national acts such as David Allan Coe,
Mark Chestnut, Billy Currington, Chris Cagle, Edwin McCain, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Sammy
Kershaw, Tracy Lawrence and John Conlee has helped this southerner turn more than a few
heads and is sure to keep 'em turnin'.

BEKKA BRAMLETT - www.myspace.com/bekkabramlett

Bekka Bramlett is one of the most in-demand vocalists today. With her unique and all-
encompassing personality, Bekka has never known the struggle of “fitting into” a new
environment. She immediately “caught on” and caught the attention of some major players
such as Vince Gill, Tony Brown, Allison Krauss, Faith Hill, Wynonna, Trisha Yearwood, Garth
Brooks, Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, Dwight Yoakum, Amy Grant, Tim McGraw, Tanya Tucker,
Brooks and Dunn, Travis Tritt, Montgomery-Gentry and more. Bekka, who replaced Stevie Nicks
in the iconic band FLEETWOOD MAC, from 1993-1997, earned her rightful place in history with
her musical prowess. Her forward-thinking attitude and sound had her recording duets with the
likes of Billy Joel, Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart, Dwight Yoakum, Vince Gill, Johnny Lang, the
legendary “Soul Man” (Sam and Dave) Sam Moore, Bad Company, Kenny Rogers, John Waite, Delbert McClinton
and more. Bekka’s down home, common sense approach to life has somehow allowed her to accomplish this with
humility and grace. These capabilities have led Bekka to having hits with Jessica Andrews, Etta James, Dobey
Grey, Shamikia Copeland, Faith Hill, and many more, including the Faith Hill hit, “ONE”, as well as “UNSAVABLE”
(both on Faith’s chart topping 2002 CD, “CRY”).

JON COLEMAN - www.myspace.com/joncolemanmusic

Born in North Carolina and making his way through Louisiana, Texas, and California, JC has
now made a home for himself in Nashville. Jon Coleman is: B-3 Player, Piano Player, Singer,
Songwriter. After more than two years of finding time for the studio between Nashville session
work, touring with Lee Roy Parnell, Steve Azar, Chuck Wicks & Randy Houser, and writing with
Ken Johnson, Glenn Snow, Bekka Bramlett, and countless others, JC will soon be releasing a
disc that was definitely well worth the wait. You can currently catch JC on tour with the
legendary bands The Outlaws and Blackhawk.

by Bruce Dees (James Brown, Ronnie Milsap) and features numerous Motown and Muscle
Shoals R&B veterans. Grammy award winning songwriter Mike Reid took one listen and
exclaimed, "Kira – you sound like a neat glass of single malt in a world of Michelob Ultra."
Her impressive resume includes a stint on Berklee College of Music’s voice faculty and work
with Wynonna Judd, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Radney Foster, Alan Jackson, Ray
Stevens, and others. One thing this Wisconsin white chick doesn’t sound
like is a Wisconsin white chick."

RAWKIN BAND - www.myspace.com/therawkinband

Sounds like 'Uncooked Cousins, but everything about this band is 'Well Done'.
Whether it is an acoustic or an electric show, this Nashville based group shines.

ADAM GREGORY - www.adamgregory.com

Though he's just 23 years old, Adam Gregory draws on more than a decade's worth of writing
and performing experience for his self-titled debut album on Big Machine Records/No Strings
Attached/Midas. Growing up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Adam's musical journey began when
he wrote his first composition at age 12. Major label talent scouts quickly recognized Adam's
budding talent, and signed him to a record deal with Sony Canada when he was just 13 years
old. After recording his debut album, Adam launched into life as a road warrior opening shows for
the likes of Alan Jackson, Keith Urban and Lonestar. "I believe God put me on this earth to sing,"
Adam admits, "He's blessed me with a gift, and I'm just so honored to share it with people. The
important thing is that people understand I'm telling my story on this album. I've had more creative control on this
project than ever before. Looking back on these songs, I can say without a doubt, 'This is me'."

BENITA HILL - www.benitahill.com

Now adopted as a hometown girl, Hill both writes and sings songs that you no doubt have sung
along to at one time or another: Garth Brooks Two Pina Coladas and Its Your Song; Kirk
Whalums The Moment I Prayed and I Loved You In Memphis performed by Isaac Hayes. She
has worked with producer Ben Folds on a CD of original songs by William Shatner . Recently,
Benita had a song she co-wrote with legendary Brill Building era songwriter Philip Springer (most
famous for Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt and How Little We Know by Frank Sinatra) premier in the
New York show The Last Songbird in December 2005. Benitas is the Santa Baby voice for
Jaguar Automobiles . And though writing songs and and making music ranks high on her love-to-
do list, the platinum-haired diva is also developing a television show, likes to go to movies with
her 17-year-old aspiring filmmaker son, cook, hike and count her blessings as a cancer survivor.
