Date: 15th March 2012 Time/duration: 9.00 a.m. 9.30 a.m. (30 minutes) Class: Year 2 bestari Number of students: 32 Proficiency level: beginner Theme: world of knowledge Topic: Recycling Bins Background knowledge: Students have been exposed to basic knowledge of the importance of recycling bins. Language skill focus: Language art (70%) Integrated skills: Speaking, Reading, Writing (30%) Language focus: Noun list of words: bulbs, plates, vase, tin, plastic bottles, spoon, cardboard, cards and newspaper. Learning objectives: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 1. Answer the questions verbally. 2. Replace the picture with words provided. 3. Solve the jigsaw puzzle n paste it to the correct recycle bin 4. Complete the paragraph using nouns.

Stages/ duration Stage 1 Set induction (+/- 3 minutes)

Stage 3 Skills: Practice Listening (+/- 9 Reading minutes) Thinking Content: Instruction on how recycle bin are used.
