1. To engage and activate the students.

2. To revise vocabulary connected to toys. 3. To give students confidence in using vocabulary in a communicative approach. 4. To have fun in describing and buying toys. Aids: handouts, blackboard, poster notebooks,real toys etc. Skills: Speaking Interaction Writing Describing Reading Language vocabulary: Toys Colours and Phrases related to buying Structures: Simple Present Adjectives Types of interaction: Teacher-Whole class Teacher-Students Students-Students Students-Teacher Possible problems: Some of students may be shy to speak English.The teacher will encourage them to speak even there may appear minor mistakes. PROCEDURE
Activity 1. Warm Up Aims:
-to warm up students; -to recognize the English words on the Poster - to create a friendly atmosphere

Timing: 10 minutes Class management: Pair work Interaction: Teacher-Whole class


SS-SS SS-T Procedure: The students will work in pairs and the teacher shows them a poster.They try to guess the words which define different toys ,then they write these words on the blackboard.

Each student will receive a handout with the respective words and their translation in Romanian. Activity 2. Lean-In Aims: to get SS in the new topic Timing: 10 minutes Class management: Pair work Interaction: Teacher-Whole class
SS-SS SS-T Procedure:Teacher will give and explain the Ss several phrases that are necessary when one enters a toy store and wants to buy something. Most of the phrases are also used in any kind of store. The teacher also translates the new phrases after previously writing them on the blackboard.

Activity 3. Remember and practice Aims: -to review the colours;


-to recognize and use language related to colours and Buying toys; -to give SS practice . Timing: 15 minutes Class management: Pair work Group work Interaction: Teacher-Whole class SS-SS SS-T Procedure: Teacher revises the colours with SS using different toys.. The teacher simulates a toy store by arranging different toys on a desk. The teacher organises a role-play activity. Students have to act as if they were in a store and they want to buy a toy. The teacher is the seller and the students are the buyers. The roles may change. The class will be separated in groups and each group will have a leader. Each group will have to make up a shopping list and then go to the store to buy.

Activity 4.Describing and speaking Aims: -to give SS to practic in speaking;


- to practise the new vocabulary. Timing: 10 minutes Class management: Pair work Interaction: Teacher-Whole class SS-SS SS-T Procedure:In pair ,SS describe some of the toys and SS write in their copybooks the new sentences about new words.

Show the poster or look at the real toys and describe them

Activity 5.Evaluation and homework Aims:-to evaluate SS work


-to give SS their homework Timing: 5 minutes Interaction: Teacher-Students Procedure:Teacher grades SS. As homework students will have to write a dialogue between a seller and a customer, using the vocabulary related to toys and buying. Each students receives a handout with the phrases used for shopping, that were previously practiced during the lesson.
