OPEN NOTICE FOR HUNGER STRIKE FOR THE MoEF, AWD, AWBI AND CZA, TO PROTECT ANIMALS FROM

UNNECESSARY PAIN AND SUFFERINGS IN INDIA:

AWBI may kindly be directed to re-examine all performing animals registration since beginning to till date and rescue all abused animals cancelling their registration, placed complete information on its website along with the list of co-opted members, their experience and performance as well in public interest and transparency. 1. All Hippo's registration may kindly be cancelled and rescue, rehabilitate them up to July 25, 2012. 2. All Elephants as performing animals registration may kindly be cancelled being an National Heritage animal of India, introduce legislation, rules and regulation for their welfare. 3. All docked tail, feather chopped birds registration may kindly be canceled and rescue, rehabilitate them up to July 25, 2012. 4. All Camels registration may kindly be canceled as performing animals because they are abused by their owners during transportation, their leg tied and traveled in sitting position, there are no rules and regulation framed by the Central / State Govt. : How to transport Camels and Elephant by foot, road, truck, train or ship?. 5. Retirements of performing animals and birds be fixed, their rehabilitation policy may kindly be introduced.

6. All unwanted performing animals needs attention because AWBI and CZA never examine the justification, for example EMU, Goat and Pelican etc are not trained nor they performed but they are allowed for profit, registered as performing animal / bird. 7. Punish all Circuses and tainted AWBI - CZA officials as well, if they found guilty: A. Strict compliance of PCA Act, 1960 / WP Act, 1972 and all rules made under be looked into. B. Pre transport permit as required u/s 96 be implemented and monitored regularly. C. How and why two branches of JUMBO Circus allowed? Blind Hippo was badly abused by them till his death, legislation was violated and same was proved. AWBI exercised and at last revoked ban on Jumbo circus with out any punishment? D. When in 2005 Hippo of Amar circus was found blind and unfit to perform and as per attached report information was with the AWBI then why Hippo was allowed to perform by the AWBI since long? E. On June 9, 2012 AFRO RUSSIAN Amar Circus at Nagpur was inspected, Amar circus papers were examined, why?, please find attached here with the advertisement of Danik Bhaskar and other publicity material, which are self explanatory, Hippo was found blind but no action, still performance are going on, Bull is missing, no pre transport permit was found etc., Why inspection report with held till June 11, 2012? F. Expedite the Animal Welfare Act, 2011 / WP Act. / Rules for Dog breeders / Pet Shop / Fish Aquarium and Ban of Peacock feathers trade. So the UN affiliated OIPA in India announced that if AWBI and CZA failed to perform their official duties as defined above then OIPA chapter in India will sit on HUNGER STRIKE on July, 25, 2012 with ANNA HAZARE TEAM. Please save our animals from unnecessary pain and sufferings. If anything happened to blind Hippo of Amar circus then the Chairman, AWBI and Member Secretary, CZA will be responsible in person.
