In supersession of all previous circulars allowing recruitment of Technical Staff, it has been decided with the approval of the Competent Authority that the direct recruitment of technical employees may be limited to the posts mentioned at Annexure-I in respect of the functional groups of Laboratory Technician, Field/Farm Technician and Workshop Staff including Engineering Staff.
Consequently,
direct
recruitment
of technical
employees
for
the
posts
mentioned at Annexure-II in the aforesaid three functional gro'lJps may not be made by the institutes. The activities against these posts, if required, may be outsourced, with full justification.
This is in addition to instructions issued vide letter No. 19( 10)/2004-Estt.lV dated 24.2.2006 and letter No.18 (2) / 2010- Estt.IV dated 30.3.2012 for stopping
recruitment of technical posts in various other functional groups of Photography, Artist, Press & Editorial (Architect) etc. (Sub-group 'Editorial, Publicity & Production), Workshop Staff
It has also been decided that recruitment against vacancies in T-6 grades and above in Technical Category which are equivalent to Class I posts will be done by the
