Epygi Technologies, Ltd.

VoIP Technology
Has been around for some time (15 years or more) Technology is mature and is reliable (not a garage project) Based on open standards such as SIP (interop is the goal)

Opportunities to differentiate products and services (rich features)

The future is all IP (video security, building control, telemetry, TV) Legacy PSTN will fade away (eventually)

VoIP Technology

Advantages
Cheaper gear and cost of service to traditional PBXs Advanced features (usable) Mobility (your DID is global) Lower service tax (for now) Flexibility (scenarios, providers, gear) Choice of IP Phones One cable plant, wireless

Disadvantages
Needs power (good old line cards) E911 (where are you?) Broadband dependent LAN infrastructure

Hosted VoIP
What is it?
A telephony termination and services provider that terminates calls in both directions to the PSTN and may provide advanced PBX type telephony features to customers with minimum equipment on customer premises

Growing trend (ISPs looking for new revenue) Many providers to choose from with basic and advanced services What to look for
Cost of these services (basic calls, LD, features) Does it scale well (as needs grow) Commitment (contract timeframe, early cancellation) Service (good support, QoS) Reseller revenue opportunity (will they go direct?) What gear is required (will they provide it?)

Hosted VoIP

Advantages
Minimal CPE gear (IP phones, softphone or ATAs) OPEX model (small initial cost) Scalability (easy to add/delete extensions, remote users) Features a la carte Easier to install (no IT guy ?)

Disadvantages
Dependent on broadband link (link down, no calls) Stuck with provider (not easy to change) Limited feature set (video calls, call recording, ACD) New features may take time (platform needs to support it) You are not in control

CPE VoIP
What is it?
Customer premise-located telephony equipment with basic and advanced functionality (PBX) connected to IP and maybe traditional telephony digital and analog circuits.

Most vendors offer VoIP gear today (new designs IP-based) Enterprise features at rock bottom prices What to look for
Many new vendors (do your homework, check interop) Open source or embedded appliance (people behind product) Support (critical) Cost of solution (box, switch, phones, trunks) Does it scale well (multi-site, performance, extension count) Mature products (QoS, stable, robust) Product evolution

CPE VoIP

Advantages
Freedom (not tied to provider) Advanced Features (ACD, video, UC, Multi-site) Redundancy (PSTN trunks, alternate providers) Control (try and see, add/deletes) Lower cost (over time) Other (security, door control)

Disadvantages
CAPEX vs. OPEX (but costs are lower than legacy) Tied to vendor (use open standards gear) Support and Configuration (get good resellers/vendors)

Epygi Software Solutions

28

iQall is Epygis iPhone application which allows any user of a Quadro IP PBX to establish calls between their iPhone and another number anywhere in the world. If the iPhone user has a GSM plan with free incoming calls, the user will not pay any charges on the plan for outgoing calls, which greatly decreases the companys overhead expenses especially on international calls.

29

Epygi Media Streamer

This feature allows the on-hold party to listen to the music streamed by the EMS playing MP3 files rather than the pre-recorded voice stored on a Quadro. There is a possibility to play different streams for each extension, to play very long audio files and to allow the playlist selection to be easily changed. The free application can be used on any Epygi IP PBX running version 5.1.17 or greater.

30

HotKeyCall is a free MS Windows software application that allows PC users to dial telephone numbers directly from their desktop from any application window (e.g. webbrowsers, e-mail client, text documents, etc.). This can be done by simply highlighting the number you wish to dial and pressing a predefined hot key sequence (e.g. Ctrl-Y).

31

Add-in for Microsoft Outlook

Works with Microsoft Outlook to allow user to make and receive calls within the native Outlook interface. The free application can be used on any Epygi IP PBX running version 5.1.17 or greater.

32

Statistics Monitoring and Reporting

The Statistics Monitoring and Reporting is designed to work with the Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) feature that can be purchased for the QuadroM8L, QuadroM12Li, QuadroM26x, QuadroM26xi and QuadroM32x. Windows based tool to display real-time details on call center agents and the call activity on the QuadroM products. The same information can be viewed over periods of time for trend analysis.

33

The Quadro Configuration Console (QCC) is a tool that allows the administrator to centrally manage a network of Quadro units from a single desktop PC. QCC functions include automatic login to Quadro Web Management, Reboot, Configuration Backup, Configuration Restore, Firmware Update, Legible Configuration File Upload, Language Pack Upload, Upload Company Details, and Upload Custom Scenario and Voice Messages.
