SINOPSIS:
This course covers topics related to fluid mechanism.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon the completion of the course, students are expected to be able to: Understand concepts and behavior of fluids in static and flowing condition. Understand the concept and applications of control volume. Apply the knowledge of dimensional analysis. Apply the concepts to the design of simple system involving fluid.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Attendance Every student is responsible for all the materials including announcements extended during the lecture and on the e-learning website. Students who are absent for more than 10% of the total hours without prior written permission may be barred from sitting for the final examination. Evaluation Assignments and projects: Students are required to attempt the assignments listed in the course schedule and submit these assignments in groups of five. The assignments are due before 5 pm on the dates given in the course schedule and to be submitted in the respective lecturers pigeon hole in building 17. Penalty for late submission is as follows: Penalty: 1 day late: 5% 2 days late: 10% 3 days late: 20% 4 days late: 30% 5 days late: 40% 1 week late: 50% >1 week late will not normally be assessed Tests: There will be TWO tests conducted throughout the semester. Tentative dates for the tests are given in the course schedule. Any changes will be announced during the lecture prior to the test dates. Discuss any potential conflicts well before the tests dates. Calculators are allowed in the tests. Final Exam: The final exam is comprehensive. Just like the tests, non-programmable calculators are allowed. ANY ACADEMIC DISHONESTY WILL RESULT IN A FAILING GRADE
