The highly motivated youngsters on the campus are a constant source of pride. About School of Electronics Engineering The School offers B. Tech [ECE] and five M. Tech programs. Facilities for research leading to Ph.D. are available in many emerging areas. A major emphasis in both the undergraduate and post graduate program is the teaching and learning process that makes the student industry ready. The School is actively involved in R&D activities and has sponsored projects from various agencies like DRDO, DST, ISRO (RESPOND), and BRNS. It has MoUs with industries and other reputed Institutions and R&D organizations of our country and other parts of the world. About DSP Division This Division was established in the year 2006 under the School of Electronics Engineering with highly qualified intellectual faculty team. This division offers courses such as Signals & Systems, Probability Theory & Random Process, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Image Processing, Neural Networks & Fuzzy Logic, Biomedical Signal Processing, Advanced Digital Signal Processing and Digital Signal Compression. The faculty members are actively involved in multifaceted research areas such as speech, radar signal processing & tracking, watermarking and steganography techniques in images, forensic image analysis, target tracking, Compressed domain Image Processing, biometrics, pattern recognition in medical images, machine vision and computational intelligence etc., DSP laboratory is equipped with state of the art facilities such as Texas TMS320C6713 DSP Processors & CC Studio Programming Interface environment, Real Time Digital Image Processing facility with CCD camera and high sampling rate frame grabber, DM642 Multimedia DSP Processor and MATLAB 7.6 R2008. About SBST The School of Bio Sciences and Technology offers undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral courses in the fields of Biomedical Engineering, Medical Genetics, Applied Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bio-informatics. The School consists of 8 divisions headed by experienced professors and f aculty members. These divisions are: Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Biomolecules and Genetics, Bio medical Sciences, Environmental Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, and Plant Biotechnology. An important feature in the academic activity of SBST is its strong linkage with many national institutions such as Defence Bioengineering and Electro Medical Laboratories, Bangalore; Central Scientific and Instrument Organization, Chandigarh; Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, Delhi; Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, Nicholas Piramal Laboratories, Mumbai; etc. The School has funded projects from Government departments namely, DBT, DRDO & DST as well as from core industries. About Biomedical Engineering Division Division of Biomedical Engineering (BME) was established in the year 2003 under the School of Biosciences and Technology with highly qualified faculty team comprising of professors with Engineering and Medical background. This division offers B.Tech ,M.Tech and PhD degree program in Biomedical Engineering. The division has collaboration with Strathclyde University of Scotland and Esigelec University of France for student and staff exchange program. The faculty team works on multidisciplinary research fields such as Biomedical sensors, Bio sensors, Bio-signal processing, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Biomedical image processing, Medical imaging, BioMedical instrumentation and Rehabilitation Engineering. The BME division has state of art laboratory and research labs. The BME at VIT aims to improve human health by applying Engineering principles and methods to Medical problems by education, training and cutting edge research.

About the WORKSHOP The aim of the workshop is to give an insight of latest technology in Medical Diagnostics and practices in hospitals to the academicians and researchers WORKSHOP FEE DETAILS Faculty/Academicians : Rs. 2000 Corporate Executives/Doctors : Rs. 3000 Students/Research Scholars : Rs. 1000 Note: DD should be taken in favour of VIT University, Vellore. Accommodation (including food) will be provided based on request at extra cost.
