Each team will be leaded by one LO to the prepared chamber The team will be matched based on lottery The position of each team will be determined by the committee The motions are chosen based on the teams priority Each team will has 15 minutes for prepared motion and 20 minutes for sudden motion in case building The participants are allowed to bring Dictionaries, Stationery, and Printed Media in case building. Electronic Media are only allowed in case building by the time they get sudden motion The participants are not allowed to bring any electronic media and printed media for the debate demonstration Each speaker will speak in 5 minutes for delivering the substantive speech and 3 minutes for replay speech. The arguments spoken in more than the time given are not considered (reducing score as the consequence given) While one is delivering the substantive speech, the opponent team is allowed to give POI in the first one minute until the forth minute (15 seconds for each). POI that given out of the time or in reply speech is not accepted All participants must obey the roles given, those who collide these rules will be disqualified strictly The adjudicator's decision will be final. Everything related to the comments, critics, or suggestions are served in the crisis case Supervisor: The Supervisor must keep on silent or stay away from the team during the case building The Supervisors are allowed to stay in the debate room Timing sign First one knock speaker must start the argument

Second one knock means speaker has spent 1 minute and POI time is opened 2 knocks, time remain 1 minute (speaker has spent 4 minutes, and POI is closed) 3 knocks, time is over If speaker hasnt stop the speech yet, well knock continuously

Qualification: The match will be divided into 3 preliminaries The 20 teams are divided into 2 groups that consist of 10 teams for each (A and B). Each prelim will has 2 round of matches (A and B) Finally the committee will choose 8 teams to be in Quarter Final based on the highest score of margin Quarter Final: The 8 teams will be matched based on lottery The 4 teams with the highest scores are qualified to the final Final: The final match is going to be held in the main hall (Oesman Mansoer) Notes: Each speaker will speak in 5 minutes and 3 minutes for replay speech Speakers are allowed to give and receive POI Everything is not listed in the general guidelines will be in prudence of committee. GENERAL GUIDELINES OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY Test script includes 100 pieces of matter that consists of three parts: Part I, Listening Test. Part II, Reading and Comprehension. Part III, Grammar / Mixture Matter. The provided time for the test is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes). The participants are not allowed to leave the exam room before the test is completed. If participants leave the exam, room when the test is still ongoing, participants is not allowed to return to exam room to finish the exam. If participants leave exam room before the exam time over, the test should not be taken out. The participants must fill out attendance sheet. Filling out and signing the attendance list means accepting / agreeing of all stipulation and regulations that is determined by the committee. If the participants disobey the stipulation and regulation of the exam, he or she will be disqualified. During the exam participants are not allowed to use mobile phones. Mobile phones must be disabled during the exam. Use ballpoint pen to fill in the answer and prohibited to borrow stationary from the participants. The participants are not allowed to change the answer (exchange or change). The Participants need to write a complete identity and Serial Number of the matter based on the columns in the answer sheet.

Before doing on the test, check the completeness of the test script. Make sure the page numbers are sequentially from page 1 to complete 18 Replacement of the test script only can be done up to five minutes after the test begins. Request replacement of the test script after five minutes the exam ongoing will not be served. Each participant is provided with only one answer sheet. There is no replacement of the answer sheet after the test begins. Read each question carefully, and then choose one of the answers that are provided depends on the number. After the exam, the answer sheet and the script must be left in clean and not be folded or turn. Everything is not listed in the general guidelines will be in prudence of committee. The committee's decision will be final.

TECHNICAL GUIDELINES Technical Implementation 1. 15 minutes before entering the room the participants should be gathered around the place of examination 2. When entering the room the participants must bring stationery such as (pencils, ballpoint pen, eraser, table board.) 3. Each participant must occupy a seat that conforms with the number of each participant. 4. The participants will be given 10 minutes to fill out their identity on the answer sheet that has been provided 5. The test script will be distributed by the executive committee 6. After participants finish the test, the test script and the answer sheet should be left at their desks. The Regulations of English Proficiency 1. The participants must bring their Exam Identity Card (KTU), and the receipt of financial keel (if needed). If the participant does not bring or lose it, so the participant must report to the CO of the English Proficiency test to fill out the form of licensing to join the test, which was signed by the Chief (PIC). 2. Delay rules: Delay tolerance for the participants is maximum 15 minutes and allowed to enter the room to take the exam directly. If the participant is late more than 15 minutes, the participant must report to the CO of the English Proficiency test to fill out the form licensing to join the test and be supported by reasons that can be accounted for the truth. After that, the participants can come in the room, show the license form to the invigilator and will not be given an extra time. 3. Both of the above rules apply as long as no other participants who have completed the exam and left the classroom. The participants who are late are not allowed to take exams. 4. The participants must wear their school uniforms and shoes at the time of the exam, if not the participants are not allowed to take exams. 5. The participants must write the name, school and NKU on the answer sheet, and collect it at the time that is determined.

6. The participants are allowed to bring only stationary such as pencils, erasers, pen, and table board. 7. At the time of the exam, the participants are not allowed to exchange stationery, books / records, etc. 8. If the chair on the right / left of the participant is empty, the participant is not allowed to put the bag / book / note or anything else on the empty chair. 9. The participants are not allowed to cheat in any form. 10. The participants who cheat will be failed. 11. Everything that is not listed in the technical guidelines will be in the prudence of the committee. 12. Scoring criterias: The correct answer scored 4 (Four) The wrong answers or fill more than one option scored -1 (minus one) A blank answer is 0 (zero) There will be an interview test with the provision if there is more than one participants get the same value with the highest scores. GENERAL GUIDELINES OF SPEECH CONTEST Qualification 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. There will be 2 rooms, and each room consists of 25 participants. Each room will be taken 5 bests. The participants must be in the room 20 minute before the contest begins. The participants have to show the ID card to the committee. The participants must be quiet when one is delivering the speech. The participant is not allowed to bring note, picture or any other tools when he or she delivers speech. 7. The time for speech will be 5-7 minutes. 8. The participant must give the speech text before delivering it. 9. The committee will call the participant 3 times before eliminating then. 10. The participants are not allowed to leave the place without any permission to the committee. 11. The time to begin the speech is based on the lamp or sign. 12. Adjudicators are independent. 13. Adjudicators decision is final. 14. All participants must follow the regulation. 15. Everything that is not listed in the technical guidelines will be in the prudence of the committee. 16. The sign will be three kinds of lamp Green : starting to speech Yellow : the time will be over in 2 minutes. Red : the time is up, and the speaker is not allowed to continue the speech. 1. The participants have to deliver the speech as before in front of 4 adjudicator. 2. In this section will be taken the five bests, as the first winner to the fifth. 3. If there is the same score, the participants will be asked about the contain what they deliver. Scoring criterias: 1. Content (10 Point) Speech development (opening, body, and closing) Effectiveness Speech value 2. Delivery (10 Point) Physical Voice manner 3. Language (10 Point) Grammar Fluency Pronunciation.
