Each company contracted Merit to provide them with information about employee responses, to the services provided, interactively or batch reporting, to their clients for further assistance, to employees and family members. Interactive and or Batch applications were written in either, AS/400 RPG-III or RPG-ILE.

This End Up Furniture Inc. - Richmond, VA. 12/1995 - 07/1996 Assisted this Furniture manufacturer and distributor, in the maintenance of their existing applications i.e.: Inventory Control, Order Entry, Warehousing, AR, AP, GL and other related applications. This organization is a structured SYNON 1E/2E shop, running on an AS/400, using RPG-III/400. My primary duties were to modify these applications, using SYNON 1E/2E case tools i.e.: Prototyping Applications, Design Screens, Design Reports, Data Modeling, Action Diagram Processing, to provide functionality to Interactive and or Batch applications. TFE Inc. - Columbia, MO. 10/1995 - 11/1995 Assisted this Human resources organization, that was contracted to provide, payroll assistance, to companies i.e.: UPS, Yellow Freight, etc, etc. As a contractor, I provided maintenance support for their drivers bonus miles payments applications. My task was to analyze the data and applications used to determine, how the bonus miles where calculated, utilizing Source Debug. The applications were modified using AS/400 RPG-III. Toastmasters Inc. - Columbia, MO. 03/1995 - 09/1995 Assisted this Appliance manufacturer and distributor; modify their existing applications ie. Inventory Control, Order Entry, Accounting, and Sales Forecast Reporting applications. I was also involved in the new development efforts, to eliminate the need for employees, to manually process reports and write information to forms, when the system could easily provide the information for them. Assisted in the maintenance efforts, for Interactive and or Batch applications. This company also utilized a MACPAC system, which required modifications, to coincide with their existing system applications platform. Applications were created and or modified using AS/400 RPG-III/400. MOOG Automotive Inc. - St. Louis, MO. 07/1994 - 02/1995 Assisted this Auto parts manufacturer and distributor; modify their existing Inventory Control and Accounting applications. This company also utilized Pansophic and Data3. My task was to assist with, tracking inventory accountability issues, between the IBM AS/400 Midrange and the Mainframe. Data was downloaded from the mainframe via: RJE, which didnt match data extracted from the Pansophic and Data3 system. Basically our immediate goals were to analyze the systems applications and compare data, for applications modifications, which were done by a team of Arthur Anderson Consultants. Existing applications were utilizing AS/400 RPG-III and or COBOL-II.

Howard Systems Inc. - St. Louis, MO. 10/1993 - 07/1994 Assisted this Consulting firm, as a contractor, working for an, auto transportation company. Newly developed, and modified existing Dispatch, Transportation, Claims and EDI applications; my project was to analyze and modify Interactive and or Batch applications, to provide additional information to terminals, dispatchers, claims and drivers, which assisted with reliable transportation services to dealerships.
