Introduction

Introduction

This guide contains information about how to use SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management 10.0 with SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0, version for SAP NetWeaver. This guide complements the information in the SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management Installation Guide and the SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management Administration Guide. In order to configure the web services you must install Support Package 03 or higher.

1.1 Version Compatibility


To use SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management 10.0 with SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver 10.0, you must install Support Package 01 or later of SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management 10.0 Important: SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management 10.0 does not work with SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 7.5, version for NetWeaver. To load or extract data from SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 7.5 for NetWeaver, you must use SAP BusinessObjects Financial Information Management 7.5 Support Package 05 or later.

1.2 General Architecture


This schematic shows a detailed view of the financial information management architecture for the planning and consolidation application, version for NetWeaver:

2.1 Prerequisites
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10, version for SAP Netweaver manages users in the SAP NetWeaver system. In order to use the financial information management application you need an SAP BusinessObjects Central Management Server, or CMS, which is installed with one of the following: SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 SAP BusinessObjects Information Platform Services 4.0 You must configure this sytem to delegate its authentication to the SAP NetWeaver system used by your planning and consolidation version for the NetWeaver system. This configuration requires assigning a specific role to users created in SAP NetWeaver, SAP_BPC_WS_USER, which allows those users to use the planning and consolidation web services. Configuring these users is explained in detail in the SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0 Security Guide. Once this setup and configuration has been completed users are allowed to use the same login to connect to the following applications: financial information management planning and consolidation version for SAP NetWeaver profitability and cost management financial consolidation It also provides single sign-on among those applications. All the users of the planning and consolidation version for NetWeaver application are not required to be declared in the CMS, however those users who use the financial information management application to load or extract data into SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0, version for NetWeaver must be declared in the CMS.

2.2 Configuring the Link to the Financial Information Management Application


You configure the link to the financial information management application via the SAP transaction SPRO. 1. Launch the transaction SPRO.

2. On the "Display IMG" page, expand the structure, then click the icon next to Set Environment Parameters.

3. Type or select the name of the environment for which you want to set the parameters.

The page changes to display field names in which you define links to external applications. 4. Enter data as follows:

2.3 Setting Up the Web Services

Before you can use the financial information management application with the planning and consolidation application for SAP NetWeaver, you must define and active the web services on the NetWeaver side. You configure the web services as follows: 1. Launch the transaction SOAMANAGER. 2. On the "SOA Management" screen, under the "Service Administration" tab select Web Service Configuration. 3. Under the Search tab in the "Search Pattern" box type UJO_WS_FIM, which is the web service used by the financial information management application. 4. Click Apply Selection. The name of the web service UJO_WS_FIM appears under the "Configurations" tab. 5. Under the "Configurations" tab click Create. The "SOA Management" dialog box opens. This dialog box contains service and binding information. 6. Check the service and binding information, make any necessary changes, then click Apply Settings. 7. Under the "Provider Security" tab under "Transport Channel Authentication" select the following: User ID/Password Single Sign On using SAP Assertion Ticket 8. Click Save. You have successfully defined and validated the web service.

2.4 Locating the Web Service URL


After you have defined and activated the web service used by the financial information management application you need to locate the URL, which is required in creating the datastore. To located the URL proceed as follows: 1. Run the transaction SICF. 2. Click the Execute icon or press F8. 3. Expand the folders to locate the binding name as follows: default_host > srp > bc >> srt > rfc > sap > ujo_ws_fim > <NW_client> > ujo_ws_fim > <binding_name> , then right click and select Test Service from the menu. 4. At the prompt, click Allow the Test. Your browser opens. The address in the address box is the URL to the web service. The following is an example of a web service URL: <server:port>/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ujo_ws_fim/bind ing?sap-client=900 You must then copy the URL to include it when you create a datastore.

2.5 Using the Planning and Consolidation Administration Client


You configure Drill-through in the Planning and Consolidation Administration Client under the "Administration" tab.

1. In the "Target URL" box type the URL of the financial information management server, using the following syntax: https://<fimserver>:<port>/fim/drillToOrigin/drillToOrigin.jsp? Note: The URL is case-sensitive. 2. Under "Parameter", type the dimensions that are specific to the application for which you are setting the Drill-through function. In addition to the specific dimensions, you must insert the following required dimensions: APP APPSET SSO

3. For each parameter other than the required dimensions, select the "Dimension or User-defined Value", that is identical to the parameter. For example, for the parameter CATEGORY select CATEGORY under "Dimension or User-defined Value". 4. Select User Defined Value for the following: APP APPSET SSO

5. In the "Property / Value" column proceed as follows: Enter the appropriate values for APP and APPSET. Set the value of the SSO parameter to True. Select ID for other dimensions. 6. Click Next The next screen in the dialog box displays a recap of the parameters you have entered. 7. Click Apply. You have configured the drill-through to the financial information management function.

2.6 Creating a Planning and Consolidation Datastore


You must be an administrator to create a datastore. You create a datastore in the financial information management application as follows: 1. On the "Home" page, under "List of Datastores", click New. 2. Under "Datastore type" select "SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation". 3. In the "Datastore name" box, type a unique name that you assign to the datastore. 4. Click Next. 5. In the "Web service URL" box, type or paste the URL of the planning and consolidation web service deployed in the financial information management application, for example, http://<serv er:port>/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ujo_ws_fim/binding?sap-client=900 6. Select the NetWeaver platform. 7. Click Test, which tests the datastore and supplies the list of AppSets. 8. Under "Environment", select the environment from which you want to take data. The list displays only the environments to which you have rights. 9. Save the datastore.

3.1 Exporting Data from the Planning and Consolidation Application using the Financial Information Management Application
You export data via jobs that you create in the financial information management application. Refer to the application online help for specific instructions. When exporting from the business planning and consolidation application, only leaf member values are exported. Note: Hierarchies, aggregations, and dimension member formulas are not exported. After you have completed the initial steps in creating a job proceed as follows: 1. On the "Source" page select the planning and consolidation datastore that you want to use. 2. Under "Model", select the planning and consolidation model from which you want to export data. 3. Click Next. You proceed to the "Target" page where you specify the location to which you want to load the data, and its properties such as the datastore that corresponds to the target connection and additional data.

3.2 Importing Data into the Planning and Consolidation Application


You have selected the source datastore and you are on the "Targets" page 1. In the "Datastore" box select the datastore that you want to use to connect to your target. 2. In the Model box select the business planning and consolidation application to which you want to export data. 3. Click Next. You proceed to the "Mapping Tables" page where you define the mapping table. Note: When you import data, that is, when the business planning and consolidation application is your target, there is no loading option. You can load data at the leaf level only. information management application is equivalent to loading with the Data Manager using the Merge option in the planning and consolidation application. You must select all planning and consolidation for NetWeaver dimensions from the planning and consolidation application. Note: You load data at the leaf level only. You cannot clear existing data; you replace existing data. You need to use the Clear function in the Data Manager.

Refer to the financial information management online help, which is available in the application or in .pdf format from the help portal at http://help.sap.com for detailed information on creating mapping tables.
