Software Features
1. Access Privilege to the AXN CLI The AXN supports 4 levels of access privilege through the CLI. Each user accessing the AXN CLI is pre-classified to one out of 4 groups. Each group is assigned with certain permission. The permissions allow the members of this group to perform operations according to a list of commands defined particularly to this group. The following are the 4 groups of access levels: a. Administrator - the highest level. Authorized to perform any Read /Write operation of all parameters including setting security information such as IP address of authorized management stations. There is only one administrator per AXN node. b. Configuration members of this group are authorized to perform Read/Write operations of all parameters. They are not allowed to set any security parameters. Typically, they will configure the multiservice connections, the routing tables, etc. c. Technician members of this group are authorized to perform maintenance operations such as loop-back, counters reset but are not allowed to modify any configuration parameters. d. Read the lowest access privilege level. Readers are authorized to perform only read operations of all parameters. 2. Trusted client for Telnet The AXN maintains a list of trusted source IP addresses. This list contains explicit IP addresses in dot notation. The AXN check every incoming Telnet session for its source. If the source is "trusted", session can be established. If the source is not "trusted", the session is closed and the reason of violation is logged. 3. Disable responding to SNMP queries a new CLI command allows the AXN node to support enable/disable responding to SNMP commands. 4. History of Command the AXN CLI keep history of the last 20 CLI commands.
