Instructions for Parent Student Connect (PSC) aka Gradespeed

To get started, log in or register at www.houstonisd.org/PSC Parents will need the following information to complete registration: Student ID number (HISD) Student date of birth Last five digits of students Social Security number if on file with HISD. If not on file, use the last five digits of the S-Number provided to your child by HISD.

Choose the button that corresponds to your needs. FIRST-TIME USER - if you are registering for the first time HELP if you have forgotten your password LOGIN if you have previously registered

Select Your Role Parent or Student Click Continue

Read and then check the box, if you agree to the terms and Click Continue

This information must match what the school has on file for your student(s). You will need your students HISD ID number (this is the same as their lunch card number) and the last 5 digits of their Social Security number or the last 5 digits of their assigned PEIMS number. If you are having difficulty with information matching, please call our school registrar, Beverly Fisher, at 281-368-2100. She will ask you some identifying information to verify you are who you say you are. NOTE: We cannot give out Social Security numbers over the phone. Create a username and make sure you remember it! If you have multiple children in the Houston ISD school system you only need to set up ONE username and then add your children under that username.

Set up your security questions. In the event you forget your password, it can be e-mailed to you if you answer your security questions correctly.

Create your password. Your password must be between 8-20 characters long and must contain at least one number, one uppercase letter and one lowercase letter. It cannot be the same as your username. Please keep in mind that NO ONE at the district or the school can access your password. If you have trouble with your password, try the HELP button where you first log in and it will ask you to answer your security questions and then e-mail you your password. If you call the HelpDesk at 713-8927378 they will RESET your password so that you can create a new one when you log in.

Click Continue to proceed to the Login page.

When this screen pops up, you will enter your chosen username and password. Then click OK.

On this screen you can add any additional children that you have in HISD. You can also access your students Grade Book and Standardized Test Scores.

Trigger Information For questions on grades, please talk to your child and check their Tuesday folders before making a call to the teacher.

Data for pre-k and kindergarten students includes only Attendance, Calendar, Report Card, and Triggers (for attendance only). If you have difficulty registering, be sure that the information you are entering is the exact same data that is on file with your school. If you still have difficulty with registration, call the HISD Helpdesk at 713-892-7378.
