Dear Parents -

Well finally the sunshine has arrived and what a difference it makes! Staff and children

are enjoying the sense of well-being it brings after a pretty intense week where the children from Y2 to Y6 have worked hard at their SATs and staffs have worked hard administering and marking these assessments. This information is valuable in measuring the children's, and the schools, progress against the national picture. The Y6 children coped particularly well with having to work under strict exam-like conditions - well done. I have further news about staff changes for September. Kirsty Reed, one of our Lunchtime Supervisors, is retiring from her post. On behalf of the Governors, staff and children I would like to thank her for her valuable contribution to the Lunchtime Team and wish her well as she takes more time to enjoy her other interests. Secondly, it is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Sarah Hill has accepted the offer of a permanent contract and, therefore, will be staying on as part of the teaching team at St Christopher's. Sarah has been a great asset to the school this year and I am pleased she will be continuing to develop her role here. Finally I wish you all a warm, sunny and enjoyable weekend!
