Technical Description The stand is used for the convenient attachment of mechanical demonstration models from the TM and EM series which can otherwise be wall-mounted. By means of several elongated holes, all the relevant units can be bolted in place using M8 machine bolts and nuts. A writing surface, of adjustable height, is attached to the side of the stand. The support rests on castors which allow for ease of movement but which can also be locked in position to ensure secure support during experimentation. Impressive demonstration of the equilibrium of moments

Technical description The model demonstrates in experiments the laws on the formation of an equilibrium of moments in static systems. Two pulleys made of anodised aluminium with different radii are fitted to a steel shaft mounted on ball bearings. Easy to change weight discs can be hung on cords placed around the pulleys. In this way it is possible to quickly make changes to the peripheral force on the pulleys. The anodised aluminium base plate is intended for wall mounting, however it can also be attached to the TM 090 Vertical Stand available as an accessory. Equilibrium of forces and moment Demonstration of the force reduction on a differential pulley block

Technical description The model demonstrates the conditions of equilibrium on a differential pulley block. Three anodised aluminium pulleys of different diameter are fitted to a shaft mounted on ball bearings. The forces act, on the one hand, directly on the peripheral of the largest pulley, on the other hand, via a roller on two smaller pulleys. Easy to interchange weights permit the load to be varied such that equilibrium is obtained. The model is intended for wall mounting, however the model can also be attached to the TM 090 Vertical Stand available as an accessory. Technical description
The model permits oscillations on pendulums with bifilar or trifilar suspension to be investigated. For this purpose a bar, a cylinder, or a hollow cylinder made of galvanised steel can be hung from a wall mounted carrier plate made of aluminium and placed in oscillation. The bodies used in the experiments have strong steel hooks for attachment to the suspension cords. The length of the cords can be rapidly changed and securely fixed using clamping wheels. The beam can oscillate, by translation, in the plane of suspension like an ideal mathematical pendulum. The cylinder and the circular ring work as rotary pendulums.

Vibration experiment on a spiral spring-rotating mass system

Technical description A spiral spring made of cold rolled steel is clamped between a ball bearing mounted shaft and a fixed bracket. Two arms are fitted to the shaft diametrically opposite each other. Two sliding pieces of metal on the arms can be securely fixed in position using clamping screws. Comprehensive experiment on surface friction and on the function of plate clutches

Technical description Using this unit, the term surface friction and the function of a plate clutch can be studied in experiments. Various metal discs are attached to the support for the experiments; these form the mating face. The upper loose friction disc made of steel is placed against these discs. The loose friction disc can be rotated and is fitted to a bearing stud. The disc is driven by attaching weights to a belt that passes around the circumference of the disc; the rope is guided using low friction ball bearing mounted pulleys. Accelerated angular motion with variable masses Graphic recording of the angular motion over time

Technical description Using the TM 613 Comprehensive Flywheel Apparatus, basic experiments on uniformly accelerated angular motion can be performed. A ball bearing mounted flywheel can be placed in motion using weights attached to a cord. Additional masses enable the moment of inertia of the flywheel to be varied. An oscillating pen records the accelerated angular motion of the wheel. The unit is excellently suited to student experiments. The unit is intended for wall mounting, however as an alternative it can be also be used with the TM 090 stand manufactured by G.U.N.T.
