Bishops Committee meeting, May 13, 2012 In attendance: Johnnette Shane, Kevin Minch, Kirsty Imes, Sally West,

Wynne Wilbur, Pete Kelly. Call to order: 12:37 p.m. April minutes approved unanimously. Vicars report: Tuesday service at Sweet Expressions has been very popular with the people who attend (10-11 for the first two services) Johnnette and Tim Baker met with the city engineer, who seemed to think we could have diagonal parking on Harrison St. The city is interested in Trinity being on the register of historic places in Kirksville (this is different from the National Register). Johnnette has attended her last fresh start meeting in St. Louis, for clergy new to parishes. Met with Finance Committee. Vacation Bible school will happen July 16-19. We will also participate in Food for Kids again this July. Johnnette attended clergy day the first Thursday in May in St. Louis. Johnnette attended KIM meeting. Bishops Warden report Website repairs are ongoing. There are problems with the design. Junior Wardens report Flowers were stolen from the newly planted pots on the church steps. Mowing schedule is working well. Treasurers report was sent via email Old Business Lui missioners were all denied visas, so they will not be visiting. Motion was approved to reduce funding to KIM to the minimum required for membership. We are not sure what this is, but we know that we are substantially above the minimum at present. We still need to work on forming several of the committees we agreed on last month. We will ask Roger Ricketts to switch the meeting to Thursday May 24, because the Food for Kids meeting conflicts with the formerly planned time of May 23. New Business Schedule of summer bishops committee meetings: June 3, focusing on Ricketts report, at Kevins house. July 22 at Kirstys house. August 19 at Steves house.

Advertising campaign. We need to check prices for various venues. Underwriting for KBIA is cheap ($30 for 30 seconds) and could be targeted just for Kirksville. Fellowship ideas: should we follow through with ideas such as game night, movie night? We decided to put House Eucharist services on hold for this year, given the extra services we are already doing each week. We need volunteers for Vacation Bible school this summer.
