General conditions satisfy the site standing instructions as listed in plant item essential pre-requisites. The installation is complete and correct in accordance with the latest drawings and specifications. Access for adjustments , maintenance and repairs is satisfactory. Check that all bosses , flanges and tapping points adequately made off. Verify that all fittings on the pipework comply to the requirements of Indian Standard for the system.

Verify if appropriate, that all compression couplings have been inspected on site to confirm that the couplings comply with the drawings showing approved locations. Check that all pipe falls to drainage points are satisfactory. Confirm that all pipework that can be touched from wallways etc. and that reaches a temp. of 60 Deg.C. or over is adequately lagged. Check that the pipework system , including support, is free to expand and contract withn its constraints including wall boxes and floor collers.

REMARK

Check that all roller and sliding supports are clean free to move and so constructed that dirt and water can not accumulate. Check that all thrust / anchor points are correctly installed. Check that all equipment , fittings , temporary supports and anchors used during constructions have been removed. Confirm adequate support for small bore , horizontal pipes that may be stood upon ( or adequate protection for the pipes and supports for systems not strong enough to withstand additional loads ) Ensure that all pipework and fittings , including instrument , air release and drain lines have been flushed and checked for cleanliness and freedom from damage.Check that acid clean- ing , where required has been done. Check that all pressure tests - hydraulic / air have been completed satisfactorily and recorded.

Check that all temporary fittings , connections and blanks used for testing and cleaning have been removed.

REMARK

Ensure that , where applicable , commissioning strainers / filters have been removed and system strainers / filters fitted. Check pipework for painting and correct identification to NTPC approved colour code. During system initial operation / proving trials at full working pressure check for : i) leaks ii) vibrations iii) correct expansion.
