Getting a Visa and Becoming a Resident There are many ways to become an Ecuadorian resident: When you arrive to Ecuador, you will receive a T-3 tourist stamp in your passport, this stamp allows you to stay in the country for 90 days. If you wish to stay more than 90 days, you can apply for a 12-IX visa at the Foreign Affairs Department in Ecuador , this allows you to stay in the country for up to 180 days in total. You can also apply for a 12-IX (180 days)visa from your home country at the Ecuadorian Emabassy or Consulate.

For investors in industry or investors who wish to export agricultural products, livestock, or minerals, provided they bring capital the equivalent of at least $30,000 9-IV: Legal Representative, Work Visa, or Religious Visa Is a person that gets a work contract in can be for a private or public istitution . This work contract must be unlimiled. Or who possess unlimited power of attorney to represent a company in Ecuador
