Introduction Sigmund Freud- id, ego and superego.

Provinces of the mind For Freud, we are simply actors in the drama of our minds, pushed by desire, pulled by conscience. Underneath the surface, our personalities represent the power struggles going on deep within us because Freud's theory is quite complex and although his writings on psychosexual development set the groundwork for how our personalities developed The id, the ego and the superego function in different levels of consciousness: indeed, Freud's theory of the mind hinges upon the ability of impulses or memories to "float" from one level to another level. The interaction between the three functions of the mind represents a constant movement of items from one level to another.

Learning point based by the movie

The first learning point that we can learn from the movie is, do not always think and feel that of all what happen is a good thing to you, like in the movie, he always get a good vision and imagination with the women that he call girl of my dream. From that process, its call Id process, with the Freud explanation the Id has no contact with the reality because its sole function to seek pleasure. Based by Freud, he believes that the Id is based on pleasure principle. In other word is, the Id wants whatever feels good at the time and it wills no consideration for the reality of the situation. The id is a type of "container" that holds our desires. Relentlessly driven by a force Freud called the libido, the collective energy of life's instincts and will to survive, the id must be satisfied. We're all born with the id in full force. It's untouched by the constraints of the world But whatever its Id is not something bad thing because with Id it will lead us to live and without any desire in

your life, it will bore and die. So keep in mind that a large part of your personality consists of your desires and your attempts to satisfy them. The second learning point that come from the movie is always try the best in life and not easy to move down in life but always find anothers option in life. Just be in the movie, he following the girl and keep going to find the girl and in his mind, the only thing is, he going to make it to reality. Based what that I explain, its a process of ego division, Freud explain that ego is about reality, because ego it seek to satisfy the pleasure principle because its survival to bring it into contact with the external world. According to Freud, (1933/1964), the ego becomes differentiated from the id when infant learn to distinguish themselves from the outer world. While the id remains unchanged, the ego continues to develop strategies for handling the id unrealistic and unrelenting demand for pleasure.

The third value that I can describe in this movie is, dont be rushing in your life, what I can explain is, think first before make another decision its means you must represent the moralistic and idealistic of the situation, because, the decision you make maybe can give a bad effect to you self, the most important you must know is, superego grows out of the ego and has no contact with the outside world the fore is unrealistic in demand for perfection. In a healthy person, according to Freud, the ego is the strongest so that it can satisfy the needs of the id, not upset the superego, and still take into consideration the reality of every situation. The girl that he call girl of my dream is not only one, so many girls in the world, the morality from this is, dont think about find one girl only. Based by the superego process, not an easy jobs by any means, but if the id gets too strong, impulses and self gratification take over the person's life. If the superego becomes too strong, the person would be driven by rigid morals, would be judgmental and unbending in his or her interactions with the world. You will learn how the ego maintains control as you continue to learn it. The lastly learning point from the movie is, he said that maybe what the kid Justin bibber said was right that Romeo and Juliet is not real, means, that is no such thing call love in this world,

the feeling of this kind is not good because everybody in this world must has a little bit of love something. But why these situations happen? Because, the superego is sub-dividable into two parts: conscience and ego ideal. Conscience tells what is right and wrong, and forces the ego to inhibit the id in pursuit of morally acceptable, not pleasurable or even realistic, goals. The ego ideal aims the individual's path of life toward the ideal, perfect goals instilled by society, but if the Superego too strong, the feel of guilty all the time, may even have an effect to the personality.

Conclusion Why the personality very important? Personality is a blend of ours temperament, emotion, principles and behavior. You start developing a personality when you are a child. This personality is later model to our life, based on the impact of various positive and negative factors in life. However, the significance of this understanding is that, you can always keep improving your personality. In other words, if you feel that there are some features in your personality that needs to be worked upon, then it can be done. From what that I learn from this movie and the benefits I have received from a study of personality, its Increasing personal integrity, the greater self-awareness that comes from self study has lead me to greater personal integrity by discarding what was false in me and revealing what is true. This should be the first step of any psychotherapy or spiritual part to find out who we really are in personal terms. Then we look for who we are in "transpersonal" terms.
