MICROPROCESSOR PERFORMANCE MONITOR/ALARM

Microprocessor Performance Monitor/Alarm indicates temperature and alarm conditions on a two line, 40 character, alphanumeric readout in one low-voltage module. Monitor displays chamber temperature to a tenth of a degree C in an LCD digital readout, and also indicates high and low limit temperature conditions. Two temperature/alarm probes monitor chamber temperature and are conveniently located and easily removed for alarm system checks outside the cabinet. Probes are located in thermally-weighted product simulation bottles. Ringback alarm system, with audible and visual alarms, alerts technician to power loss and deviations beyond limits. Alarm can be temporarily silenced with the touch of a button. When silenced, the system will ring back every 30 minutes as a reminder to reset the alarm. Independent remote alarm contacts are provided for high and low alarms.

Probes are positioned opposite the door hinges in the lower left front corner of the chamber and will sound the alarm before product sees a rise in temperature.

The module digitally displays actual chamber temperature and control setpoint, readable to the nearest degree C. High and low alarm points can be quickly and easily programmed. Access code can be entered to prevent unauthorized adjustments.

ENVIRO-SCAN MICROPROCESSOR MONITORING SYSTEM

Enviro-Scan incorporates a 40 character LCD digital readout, audible and visual indicators and a sensi-touch key pad to keep you informed of all freezer functions. The module digitally displays actual chamber temperature and control setpoint, readable to the nearest degree C. High and low alarm points can be quickly and easily programmed. Access code can be entered to prevent unauthorized adjustments.

Audible and visual over and undertemperature alarms warn the technician if cabinet temperature extends beyond alarm limits. Display indicates high limit or low limit.

Alarm can be temporarily silenced or defeated with the touch pad. The system rings back as a reminder to reset when the cabinet temperature returns to normal.

Exclusive alarm test system saves valuable time when checking alarm system readiness. Cabinet warm-up and cool-down can be safely simulated using the touch key pad located on the monitor. The entire alarm circuit is tested. Both tests take only seconds and can be performed without opening the freezer. You can quickly and conveniently verify the high limit/low limit setpoint, assuring that the alarm system is ready if needed.

CHEST PLASMA/BLAST FREEZER

Forma's plasma/blast freezers allow rapid freezing of single donor, apheresed and fresh frozen plasma. Rapid freezing also preserves Factor VIII. Forma offers eight models in 4 cu. ft. capacities, including 220V and 440V models, with air or water-cooled compressors. The 4 cu. ft. chest blast freezer freezes up to (30) 650ml of pooled units, or 96 single donor units in 75 minutes.

PRODUCT FEATURES The 5 HP air or water-cooled compressor can be located up to 50 feet* from the main freezer cabinet, eliminating noise and heat from the lab. Compressor is mounted on a stand complete with tubular frame and leveling feet.

Forma Scientific's Cryoprecipitate Bath controls thawing at +4C and improves yields by 50% over conventional air thaw methods. The CH/P temperature control system maintains precise temperature for consistent day-to-day operations.

MICROPROCESSOR PERFORMANCE MONITOR/ALARM Microprocessor Performance Monitor/Alarm indicates temperature and alarm conditions on a two line, 40 character, alphanumeric readout in one low-voltage module. Monitor displays chamber temperature to a tenth of a degree C in an LCD digital readout, and also indicates high limit temperature conditions. Two temperature/alarm probes monitor chamber temperature and are conveniently located and easily removed for systems checks outside the cabinet. Probes are located in thermally-weighted product simulation bottles.
Ringback alarm system, with audible and visual alarms, alerts technician to power loss and deviations beyond limits. Alarm can be temporarily silenced with the touch of a button. ACCESSORIES - SAFETY BACK-UP SYSTEMS

CSA Certified, the CO2 and LN2 Back-up Systems utilize an electronic controller with a platinum temperature probe. The temperature probe monitors the cabinet temperature within the freezer chamber. If the power fails, or a component malfunctions, the CO2 or LN2 Back-up System takes over, automatically injecting CO2 or LN2. The back-up systems are factory set, but have a temperature range of -30C to -140C which can be field adjusted through the direct setting temperature controller. Batteries continually recharge during normal field operation to provide power to the back-up system in the event of a power failure. A minimum 72 hour battery life (based on a full charge) is provided. The back-up system is complete with test switch and power monitor light.

A two line, 40 character LCD readout continusouly updates and displays temperature, CO2, relative humidity, power and remote alarm contact closure.

Programmable audible/visual alarms (with delay and ringback) alert the operator to deviations in monitored equipment status. A dot matrix printer records data, time, unit number, channel status and designator in user specified intervals from 1 minute to 24 hours and provides an automatic printout when a monitored unit goes in or out of alarm. An easy-to-use, six button keypad and menu prompting provide simple programming steps for the operator. Non-volatile memory retains programming parameters in the event of a power outage.

Daisy chain wiring allows easy setup and equipment can be added or removed from the system as needs change without interrupting communications. Modules accept analog signals, dry contacts and RS-232 outputs or have their own RTD probes. The modules convert input signals to RS-485 for transmission to Monitor/Alarm System. An optional floppy disk drive can be factory installed for time stamped data and alarm storage. In the event of an alarm, a signal can be transmitted to the optional Sensaphone Telephone Dialing System which will continuously dial up to four different pre-programmed numbers in sequence until one user is reached.
