We stumble upon an abacus skill class for our daughter to prepare her for Primary 1 nearby our home. After the first session we were shocked to know that the teacher used very non nurturing methods to teach.

Scare tactics and screaming. Our daughter don't look forward to the class and many other parents shared our views as well. After a few classes we decided to pull her out and let her join another tutor in a different school. She has thus enjoyed the new teacher nuturing ways, patience and also adding value by teaching them origami apart from abacus.

The only experience I have to date would be to find a playgroup for my daughter around my area. Its not really easy as the classes dont open till they have enough children and its quite hard to find out of the playgroup is good or not unless I search the internet forums and etc.
