High Dependency on Government hand-outs as 2151 women and 987 men registered as destitute persons, 1504 needy students Higher Gender Based Violence of 70% prevalence among women. Women have higher HIV/AIDS prevalence rate of 20.4% & men 14.2% Initiated in 1993 by women to utilize their basket weaving skills and indigenous knowledge

Calls for economy diversification and mutual sustainable livelihoods. High poverty rates - takes away ones dignity. High Unemployment rates: women at 21.4% compared to 14.5% for men.
