I am The Legendary MC Eva Marie King, MS.

I was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1965 at 11:40 am in the Old Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx, New York. I spent my formative and early teenage years growing up in the African-American middle-class town of Jamaica Queens, New York with my five older siblings and parents. Due to a house fire in my mid-teens at my childhood home, my mother who was now a single parent, moved the family to South Jamaica Queens where The King family still maintains a residence. I currently reside in East Trenton, New Jersey where I am conducting extensive research to pursue my PhD in Media Studies at Rutgers University in the fall of 2013. I was first exposed to the art form of two-turntable DJing on Saturday, January 29, 1973 by The Genie aka DJ Rob of Bad Ass Disco (B.A.D.) at my eldest sister Katherine's sweet sixteen birthday celebration. This experience ultimately shaped my life and laid the foundation for my career as a Volunteer Media and Public Relations Specialist, Hip-Hop Activist and Community Organizer. I am professionally known as Rockaway's Finest, MS and affectionately referred to as Sister Eva throughout the Hip Hop Community. As a preteen and teenager I spent many weekends and holidays from 1976 to 1983 at the Bronx home of my former Queens homegirl Spicy Shirl. Spicy lived with her family at 1460 Bronx River Avenue in the Bronx River Houses which is in the South Bronx, NY. Spicy and I attended many Zulu Nation sponsored "center jams at the Bronx River Community Center where we had good-clean fun and became part of the Hip Hop movement which is rooted in peace, love and unity. The most memorable jams for me were when MC ShaRock of the Funky Four Plus One More performed. MC Sha-Rock's performances had a profound effect on my career as a Hip Hop artist, as her devastating lyrical skills taught me how to be an exceptional unique female MC. Zulu Queen Lisa Lee's presence in the Zulu Nation had a powerful effect on me as a preteen even before I was aware of her devastating MCing skills, abilities and talent. Queen Lisa Lee's presence as a founding member of the now referred to, Universal Zulu Nation taught me that I had the ability to be a spokeswoman for young women through rhyming and MCing; she is definitely my MC Hero. I am the Sole Owner, Founder and Chairwoman of Children of the Most High God Youth Organization International (CofMHGod Y.O. Intl) and Rockaway's Finest Media International (RF Media Intl); both companies are based in SouthSide Jamaica Queens, New York City. These companies were formed in direct response to the elders call at the October 16, 1995 Million Man March Day of Absence and Holy Day of Atonement and Reconciliation for all to return to their communities and organize. I am a Volunteer MCing, DJing, Media and Public Relations Specialist (Writer and Consultant). I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with concentrations in Radio, Television and Interpersonal Communications and a Master's of Science in Communications Studies with concentrations in Public Relations and Corporate Video Production both from The

College of New Rochelle. Past careers for me include international banking, law enforcement, women and children advocacy and international education. In March 2003, a high point in my career came when I volunteered to perform on a public relations team for the Harlem YMCA 33rd Annual National Salute to Black Achievers in Industry in which Oprah Winfrey was the keynote speaker. A few of my internships include working as a Production Assistant at BronxNet Cable Community Television in the Bronx, NY in the summer of 2002. Another exciting internship was working as a Research and Production Assistant on the Connie Chung Tonight Show at CNN (Cable Network News) during the fall of 2002 in New York City. In early 2004 I performed a mentorship/internship at UpTop Entertainment and Recording Studios in West Trenton, New Jersey with Roots, Culture, Reggae Legend, Winston Jah Pops Phillips. My focus was creating electronic press kits, training artists to speak on camera and assisting aspiring dancehall reggae artists with business development. While performing a volunteer community internship and mentorship on Thursday, May 20, 2010 on Hollis Avenue in the historic Hip Hop Community of Hollis Queens in New York City, I met my most important mentor and fellow MC to date, Glenn Toby. Glenn Toby is professionally known as Mr. Sweety G and The Legendary MC Sweety G whose numerous accolades include being credited with inventing R&B/Hip Hop and Triple-Up Rhyming. MC Sweety Gs status as a pioneer of the mobile DJing, Jamming, B-Girl and B-Boy eras including recorded Hip Hop make him an exceptional humanitarian and philanthropist with his volunteer organization, The Book Bank Foundation. On March 11, 2011 I appointed The Legendary MC Sweety G, Chief Mentor and Chief Hip Hop Analyst for 5 Star also known as Boe Skagz professionally known as Rodney L. Jones and The Nephew of The Legend-Jam Master Jay and his Aviator Boys Club GanG (ABC GanG) which is co-owned with Angel Larry Henry p/k/a Face Murder and @WorldStarFace at my CofMHGod Intl Y.O. (156th Street). My formal training and career experience have proven to be vital assets in navigating my way through the world. However, the most important title that I hold is MC, as it embodies me the mother, godmother, aunt, sister, friend, mentor and entrepreneur.
