7th Grade 2nd Semester A.R.

Plan
Student: Take STAR test. (May want them to) Make (their/your) own colored labels (see example below: box) & place in agenda below library card. Check out appropriate books based on requirements. Read and Test. Keep updated reading logs. Teacher: Analyze STAR Results. Set point goals. Provide students with a ZPD colored label and point goal for quarter (labels will be provided by Ms. Hardy).

30 pts. (If they are in Pre-Algebra, place a PA in the top right corner of label because of different requirements). Require and check reading logs. Analyze weekly reports (may print own reports if wish) and meet with students in danger of not meeting goal. Media Specialist: Provide classroom AR level code sheet again. Provide STAR testing schedule and test students. Print STAR reports and give to teachers. Input student point goals for quarter. Print AR reports weekly for class reports and every two weeks for student records (teachers may print own if wish). Check out books.

Requirements: *4 books total: 3 must be chapter books and 1 non-fiction book: highest score will count as a test grade. *Pre Algebra Students: 4 books total: 3 novels must be at least 5 points each and 1 non-fiction book. Books worth 20 to 30 points counts as 2 books. Books worth 31 plus points counts as 3 books. *If reading the 4 books does not meet point goal, they should continue reading more books *If they meet their point goal with at least a 70 average, they will receive a 100 as a test grade and will participate in schoolwide celebration.

Requirements: *4 books total: 3 must be chapter books and 1 non-fiction book: highest score will count as a test grade. Books worth 20 to 30 points counts as 2 books. Books worth 31 plus points counts as 3 books. *If reading the 4 books does not meet point goal, you should continue reading more books. *If you meet you point goal with at least a 70 average, you will receive a 100 as a test grade and will participate in schoolwide celebration.

Requirements: *Pre Algebra Students: 4 books total: 3 novels must be at least 5 points each and 1 non-fiction book. Books worth 20 to 30 points counts as 2 books. Books worth 31 plus points counts as 3 books. *If reading the 4 books does not meet point goal, you should continue reading more books. * The book with the highest score will count as a test grade. *If you meet your point goal with at least a 70 average, you will receive a 100 as a test grade and will participate in schoolwide celebration.
