Welcome to Universal Faith

Friendship with Jesus will also lead you to bear witness to the faith wherever you are, even when it meets with rejection or indifference. We cannot encounter Christ and not want to make him known to others. So do not keep Christ to yourselves! Share with others the joy of your faith. The world needs the witness of your faith, it surely needs God. I think that the presence here of so many young people, coming from all over the world, is a wonderful proof of the fruitfulness of Christs command to the Church: Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation (Mk 16:15). You too have been given the extraordinary task of being disciples and missionaries of Christ in other lands and countries filled with young people who are looking for something greater and, because their heart tells them that more authentic values do exist, they do not let themselves be seduced by the empty promises of a lifestyle which has no room for God. Pope Benedict XVI, WYD 2011

Its the 21st century, but despite popular belief Catholicism isnt dead
Its not a thing of the past. Just like it was alive a hundred years ago, with all the incredible saints and miraculous storiesso it remains now, in the twenty-first century, and in your life! It can sometimes be hard to spot in this society of temptation. The love of GOD is still here, even if you sin and feel like everything is falling apart. Life gets in the way and all you can see are your problems. You cant always feel the love of Jesus, and if you cant feel Him, usually youre not looking for the Church, His Bride. With all the distractions, its hard to find herbut shes here to bring us comfort when He seems so far away, because He is never far away from her!

Even in our generation of rebellion and growing atheism, many Catholics remain. Were universal. We bring the Church to life through our own stories, and help set the world on fire using the faith we already have. Hidden in the bustling world where we live, Christs Body continues her tireless work spreading the Gospel and telling people about the beauty of His Sacrifice.

And yes,

some of us are teenagers. Believe it or not, a teenager can think its cool to swim against

the current. A teenager will still clutch a Rosary in times of doubt. We havent all been blinded by the modern world, and weve recognized that our job is to show everyone who Jesus Christ was and what He did to save us. These are our stories, an attempt to rekindle our generation. We also want to provide confused teenagers with accurate portrayals of the Church and her traditions. We want to show them ways to live the faith that will enrich their lives and open up their hearts to the LORD. We want to teach puzzling bits of history well, and leave our brothers and sisters confident that theyre heading in the right direction.

This movement is especially important to Jesus, because He wants us all to be saints, but the secular world has drowned this goal out of the way. We cannot be afraid or indifferent to this call. We can, and must try to become saints to others. Universal Faith is less about converting other people and focuses more on reconverting yourself, in and out. Well begin with an inner examination, and review the basics of our faith. Well focus on prayer and find the easiest way for each person to communicate with Jesus. Finally, well encourage our readers to examine themselves and surround themselves with holiness. Its really not that hard. Universal Faith wants to teach you the benefits of being a saint, and inspire you to live and spread the faith worldwide. Dont let go of this treasure. This is our responsibility and something we should carry with joy and love. Lets become saints together.

1. If one were to ever imply that the Churchs doctrines were old and unrelatable to current affairs, or needing to be revised, so as to be brought up-to-date with the modern culture, this person reveals [indicates] a complete ingorance of the One God, His Church, and the Holy Canon of Scriptures so many take for granted, also known as the Bible. One who stands with such a statement has declared God unreliable and irrelevent. Nothing could be further from the Truth. I have found no other topic worth discussing that brings adventure, sense of purpose, or inspiration like that of the Churchs mission and

journey through the ages, to share the Gospel Truth throughout the entire Earth, without shame or fear. Only the Truth will remain after all has come to past, and the very elements of the Universe have run their course. Choose to not only find the Church, which is the Bride of Christ, His Body, but learn to share the Church with others. Matt.16:18-19, And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. We see that Simons name is changed to Peter (Petros) meaning Rock. And so we read it as thus in (Matt. 16:18), You are Rock, and upon this Rock I will build my church. Then Jesus, the Eternal King whom sits on the Throne of David, places His Keys on the Apostle Simon, now Peter, to serve as Vicar, just as the Kings of the Davidic Dynasty. Isaiah 22:20-22, On that day I will summon my servant Eliakim, son of Hilkiah; I will clothe him with your robe, and gird him with your sash, and give over to him your authority. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. I will place the key of the House of David on his shoulder; when he opens, no one shall shut, when he shuts, no one shall open. (shows a parallel to Matthew 16:18-20) In this passage from (Isaiah 22:22) we see the Old Testament connection to the keys. The Bible further explains the position of Eliakim in Isaiah. 2 Kings 18:37, Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, who was in charge of the palace Never doubt the role of the Pope as Vicar of Christ, to rule over the House of God on Earth, as the entire scenario was presented to the prophet Zechariah. Zechariah 3:9, For behold, upon the stone which I have set before Joshua, upon a single stone with seven facets, I will engrave its inscription, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the guilt of this land in a single day. Seven facets? Yes, seven flat spots on a solid rock interesting, but what for? Proverbs 9:1-6, Wisdom has built her house, she has set up her seven pillars. She has slaughtered her beasts, she has mixed her wine, she has also set her table. She has sent out her maids to call from the highest places in the town, Whoever is simple, let him turn in here! To him who is without sense she says, Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Leave simpleness, and live, and walk in the way of insight.

Walking in the way of insight is exactly what the Church invites all to faithfully partake in by sharing in the Lambs Supper, which is the New and Everlasting Covenant. Wisdom [God] has established the Church, and it is here that we, Catholic Christians, come to the fullness of Truth in Jesus by eating the Bread [His Flesh], and drinking the Wine [His Blood], to which He instructed as our Pass-over meal for the New Exodus from bondage of the world, to find New Life in the world to come. We become a New Creation in Christ, sharing not only in His death, but also His resurrection to New Life. The ways of this world are Old and passing. Let go of the world, embrace what is New and Everlasting, for the New has come, and the Old has past, and is still passing. All that is shaken will fall away, so come and partake of what is unshaken. Are Catholics Christian? This is an ironic subject to me. I've been asked what church I attend, what religion I belong to, etc. When I say I am Catholic, the other person responds, "I am Christian" (as if to imply Catholics are not Christian). I've also been told bluntly that Catholics are not Christian, and if Catholics believe they are Christian it's because they have a "false Jesus" lying to them. I've also been told that after the death of the apostles Satan took over the Church forcing Christians to go into hiding (however there aren't any recorded documents to support these claims but we are expected to believe these claims on heresay). Many do not know what "catholic" means? The term, "catholic," was first used by St. Ignatius of Antioch, an early Church father and bishop, and a disciple of the apostle John. The term means, Universal Faith. The Church father, St. Augustine, in the 4th century, used the term, "Catholic Church," to distinguish the true Church of the universal faith from heretical groups. The early Church fathers were Catholics because they belonged to a Church of a universal faith. It was also in the 4th century the Books of our Bible was declared as the inspired Holy Word of God by the early Church fathers in Synod of Hippo (367 AD), and the Canon was confirmed in the Council of Carthage (397 AD). It was Catholics who sifted the wheat from the chaff and declared which Books are the inspired Holy Word of God, and which books are not. Imagine, putting faith in the Bible, believing it to be the inspired Holy Word of God, because non-Christians, deceived by Satan, said it was!
