I. Program Description A. Program title : AAPOORTI B. Brief Description : Aapoorti is a 2-day workshop conducted by students of Delhi School of Management, Delhi Technological University. The workshop aims to impart knowledge, concepts and latest theories related to SCM through conferences, competitions and lectures. It also addresses the current challenges and role of SCM in Global Village. C. Justification : Supply Chain Management is the flagship program of our college. Also today Logistics have a great impact on GDP of our country. Practical implications of all the concepts learned in the class are really important. Learning the latest challenges in this field is important for students pursuing career in this stream. Evidence of societal need or occupational needs relative to meeting job market requirements: o Evidence of student demand and/or target audience of students to be recruited. Chance of placement talks with the eminent speakers invited. o This workshop does not duplicate current offerings at any other institutes thus flooding the industry market. o Projected job placement opportunities. o Must have a needs assessment survey with a valid number of responses indicating the need for the program.

D. Proposed date of Implementation : April,2012

II. Facilities A. The workshop can be accommodated in the existing facilities, with a little requirements. B. The workshop can be accommodated with the existing staff and faculty in our instructional unit. Any guest lecturer would always be welcome. C. Start-up Budget information has been determined.

III. Relationship to existing programs/offerings. A. Impact of the workshop on existing Instructional offerings.
The subjects been taught in the second semester and the fourth semester under SCM would certainly be enlightened with this workshop. The concepts covered under these subjects would have a better view now. B. Impact of this workshop on existing students. Students will now have a more clear vision of the theoretical subjects. And this would certainly give them a deep insight into SCM and its role in the industry. This would also help them to recognize what actually does the current market demands from them.
