Continuing Education Credits are available for all sessions. Program Overview: Below is the tentative 2012 Summer Budget Conference program. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 1:30pm-4:30pm The NCLGBA Budget Conference will begin with a general session on creating a better budget process followed by sessions focusing on potential impacts of legislative actions: Build a Better Mousetrap: Hyong Yi, Management & Budget Director, Mecklenburg County, NC Legislative Updates: Karl Knapp, Director, Research & Policy Analysis, NC League of Municipalities Rebecca Troutman, Director, Intergovernmental Relations, NC Association of County Commissioners

Immediately following the last session, stay for the NCLGBA Networking Reception. Thursday, July 26, 2012, 8:30am-4:30pm On Thursday, there will be several sessions related to local government budgeting and strategy, including general sessions, concurrent sessions, and even an off-site workshop! Hotel Reservations:

The conference rate for the Hilton Riverside is $119/per night. In addition, there will be a $9 overnight parking fee. You can contact the Hilton Riverside directly at 910-7635900, Monday Friday, 9AM 5PM to make your reservation or use the website www.hilton.com. When you input the requested dates, a Reservation Code box will appear. Our Group Code is LGB. Please make your reservation as soon as possible to ensure you get a room at the Hilton at the group rate. The cut-off date is Friday, June 22, 2012, but we have a limited number of rooms available at the group rate. The hotel address is 301 North Water Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Family members and other guests may join us at Wednesdays Networking Reception for a $20 fee, payable through the registration form. The conference registration fee may be refunded if cancellations are received by close of business on Friday, June 22nd. Substitutions for registration/attendees can be made at any time.
