OPEN PUBLIC MEETING STATEMENT: This meeting is being held in conformity to the Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq. Proper public notice of the meeting was published in the local papers on May 5 and May 6, 2012. If any Board member or member of the public in attendance believes that the meeting is in violation of the Open Public Meetings Act, the Hoboken Board of Education requests that they make a statement at this time. The Board wishes to make those in attendance aware that this meeting is being recorded on video and will be broadcast by the Board at a later date on CATV Channel 77. The Hoboken Board of Education is committed to preserving the decorum of the public process and is mindful that we live in the electronic age of computers, cell phones and other electronic communications devices. RESOLUTION No. FI-0012-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND SERVICES THROUGH STATE CONTRACT Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the following resolution regarding Procurement of Goods and Services through State Contract be adopted: WHEREAS, Title 18A:18A-10 provides that, A Board of Education, without advertising for bids, or after having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising therefore, by resolution may purchase any goods or services pursuant to a contract or contracts for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property, and WHEREAS, the Hoboken School District has the need, on a timely basis, to procure goods and services utilizing state contracts, and WHEREAS, the Hoboken Board of Education desires to authorize it purchasing agent to make any and all purchases necessary to meet the needs of the school district throughout the 2012-2013 school year. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education does hereby authorize the district purchasing agent to make purchases of goods and services entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property utilizing various vendors as listed:

RESOLUTION No. FI-0013-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND SERVICES THROUGH COOPERATIVE PRICING AGREEMENT Procurement of Goods and Services Through Cooperative Pricing Agreement Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the following resolution regarding Procurement of Good and Services through Cooperative Pricing Agreement be adopted: WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5) authorizes contracting units to enter into Cooperative Pricing Agreements; and WHEREAS, the Board, on May 8, 2012 duly adopted resolution to enter into a Cooperative Pricing Agreement through Educational Data Services, Inc. with Educational Services Commission of Morris County as Lead Agency; and WHEREAS, the Hoboken School District has the need, on a timely basis, to procure goods and services utilizing Cooperative Pricing Agreements, and WHEREAS, the Hoboken Board of Education desire to authorize its purchasing agent to make any and all purchases necessary to meet the needs of the school district throughout the 2012-2013 school year.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education does hereby authorize the district purchasing agent to make purchases of goods and services entered into this Cooperative Pricing Agreement through Educational Data Services, Inc., with ESC of Morris County as Lead Agency utilizing various vendors as per the attached lists.
RESOLUTION No. FI-0014-11-12 SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF DESIGNEE TO APPROVE LINE ITEM BUDGET TRANSFERS RESOLVED, that as provided by N.J.S.A. 18A:22-8.1 amended, the Superintendent or School Business Administrator be designated to approve such line item budget transfers as are necessary between Board of Education meetings, and that such transfers shall be reported to the Board of Education, ratified and duly recorded in the minutes of the next regular meeting, be and hereby is submitted.

RESOLUTION HOBOKEN BOARD OF EDUCATION MINIMUM CHART OF ACCOUNTS RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education, in the County of Hudson, New Jersey, designates the NJDOE Chart of Accounts as the minimum Chart of Accounts for use in the district; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the business office is authorized to add additional sub account designation (both within the existing sub accounts as well as additional sub positions), as the School Business Administrator may deem necessary; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent is authorized to make any necessary transfer below the level of the NJDOE Chart of Accounts.

RESOLUTION No. FI-0017-11-12 SUBJECT: FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2012-2013 AS REVISED
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Education did request that the proposed budget for the 20122013 fiscal year be amended to add $428,265 in unexpended 2010-2011 pre-school education funds to the proposed budget for 2012-2013 thereby increasing the total appropriations from $62,101,247 to $62,529,512, and WHEREAS, the Board of Education has amended its proposed budget for the school year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013 and has estimated the sum of $62,529,512 to be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the public schools of the School District of the City of Hoboken for the school year 2012-2013, and RESOLVED, that there should be raised via taxation for General Fund $36,479,095 for the ensuing school year 2012-2013. RESOLVED, that the Secretary is hereby instructed to prepare one certificate each of this action to be sent to the Hudson County Executive Superintendent of Schools, the Clerk of Hudson County and the Budget Manager.
